I sped over to our house, forcing in the key as fast as I could and stumbling into the room. Crap.

What if Jaimie had blacked out?

What if she passed out?

She could be choking on her own vomit.

I followed the trail of spilled alcohol to the bathroom.

The door had been locked, so I slammed into it with all of my body weight, and it slammed right open.

My heart dropped when I saw the blood.

My stomach dropped when I saw her lifeless eyes and her breathless chest.

I screamed. Then vomited. Then cried.

Then I found the note.

My dearest Hailey,

I love you, more than anything. I'm so glad I met you. You cared for me when no one did.

Which meant I felt so much more alone when you stopped caring for me.

I'll be with my sister, I won't be alone anymore.

And you won't either.

Cause you have your parents, and there's so many people out there who will love you to the fullest. When you find the one, give her a ring, love her to the fullest, live your life out to its end.

I'm sorry we couldn't have a kid. But I hope you'll have a kid one day that you love just as much as I loved you.

I'll miss you. And our anime. And how we could share blueberry pancakes, and how you could hold my hand like nothing else matters. And how you could not care about what anyone ever said about us.

I love you my dearest, forget about me.

It's what I want.

You see, these thoughts always called me back, and now they're dragging me back.

I'm submerging deep into the water, and finally, I'm home.

This blood running down my wrists, they bring me closer.

They're familiar they're dark, they're slimy and they're scary.

My dear, I bid you farewell,

but the tentacles call me home.
