The car starts up and in no time I feel like we're moving.
With every corner I'm thrown to the other side of the trunk. This is going to leave some bruises. I'm terrified of moving incase I slice myself open or shoot myself.
This is the most uncomfortable journey I have ever been on.
They stay silent for the most of what seems like an hour."Jace, just thought I'd let you know, we may have given him a slight beating already" one of the men chime in.
I hear a sigh "what do you mean a slight beating? You wasn't supposed to touch him." Jace exclaims.
I can tell he's pissed off.
"Dude, I'm sorry alright. He was talking shit to me so I just hit him a bunch" they say calmly.
"You tied him up right?" Jace asks
"Obviously, we're not idiots" a strange man let's out a laugh.
Who are these guys?
Who have they beaten up?
And why is he tied up?
What the fuck is this business?Suddenly the car stops. I move trying not to make a noise. A knife goes into my thigh. I try not to scream and cry. My thunder thighs have betrayed me.
1,2,3 I pull the knife out. FUCCCCCCKKKKKKKKK
I pull off my headband and wrap it around my thigh.
I can't see anything I don't even know if I've sufficiently covered it.
I press down on it.
I'd rather not bleed on all of these weapons.
It would blow my cover pretty quickly. Why did I come here?
I hear doors opening. Then, the car shifts.
My heart begins to race.
I feel it pumping through my chest.
Then suddenly the trunk door is open and I hide my face. Not knowing whether to look up at them.
I look up anyway.
Jace is staring at me. He's alone,
He doesn't blink.
Just takes a gun.
Then closes the trunk.
I'm trapped again.
I remain silent.
"C'mon guys, we've got work to do" Jace says calmly.
The car shuffles about again.
Then I hear footsteps walking away from the car.
Once I no longer hear anything, I decide I'm going to try to escape.
I grab my phone and turn the torch on so I can see what I'm doing. I find a lever attached to one of the back seats and I pull at it. The seats rolls forward with ease.
I turn my torch off but before that I grab a little gun and check that it's loaded. I think that's what I did anyway. I tuck it into my waistline and put my phone away. I stick my head through and check that the coast is clear.
It is. There's nothing around except for an old industrial building.
I proceed to climb out of this tiny gap while trying not to get blood everywhere. I manage to fit through. I deserve a pat on the back for that one.
I open the door that's not facing the building I assume they have gone into, I open it so slowly to make sure that nobody hears me and I crawl out. I move around the car. Constantly watching around to check that I don't get caught.I need to find out what they're up to.
I look around trying to plot out my movements. I quickly move from the car to a tree that's about 10 metres from me. I get there and catch my breath. Next movement: to the vent on the side of the building. Approximately 15 metres from the tree. I sprint as fast as I possibly can. I don't do sports or exercise. I make it and I'm out of breath. I need to level my breathing before I start to move. It's difficult to do any movement with this injury.I spot a door behind me leading into the building, I move slow, making sure not to drag my feet on the pebbled ground.
I pull the handle down slow. It creeks a little. This door must have not been used in years. I pull at it to see if it is unlocked. At first it seemed like it was locked but then it slid open with a little extra force.
I make my way in and find myself in a dimly lit room. That absolutely stinks.I hear talking in the distance I try to follow the voice while hiding behind objects I spot. I'm met with another door. The voices are on the other side of this door. I put my ear towards the door trying to listen. Mumbles.
Before I know it I'm pulling at the door handle. It opens. I open it slightly so I can hear the conversation.
Light streams in through the crack in the door from the room."You're going to give me the money or I'm going to shoot you in the head"
Jace is going to kill someone...
