I just froze, my lips still pressed against Carter's warm cheek. Who let him in? Especially into my room!
"Can we talk?" He asked, letting his eyes wonder anywhere else but my eyes.
Those words rang in my mind.
Can we talk?
Can we talk?
Can we talk?
Can we talk?
Who does he think he is? He sure does not have the right to come into my house and walk into my room asking some dumb question. No, we can't talk. No. No. No. N-
"Aubrianna, you need to go." Carter broke my train of thought and pulled me off of my bed and pushed me out into the hallway.
"Listen.." Dean began. I just really hope Carter would realize what a mistake it was to leave me out here with Dean. I have talked to Carter about Dean before and our breakup before. "Can we talk in a spare room?"
"Sure. Why not? I'll just take you back while I'm at it." I said sarcasm lacing bitterly in my voice. I crossed my arms over my chest.
"I don't have time for this, Aubrianna. I have to get to my job soon. Please hear me out." Pfff. He doesn't have time for this? I don't have time for this. I don't have time for him.
"Let's go." I said walking into the room right next to mine. I just want to get this over with, so I'd rather not argue with him.
"Okay. First of all, I really just want to apologize. We need to be on better terms when our baby comes. We can't be broken up. We need to get back together. Second of all, I came to ask you out on a date."
"Well I wouldn't want to waste any of your time so, I'll make this sweet and to the point." I started walking toword the door then turned around. "No." I walked back it my room but before I went in my room I walked back into the spare bedroom. "By the way, I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow at two. Come if you want." I added then walked back into my room leaving him there, in his thoughts.
"How'd that go?" Carter asked as he put down a picture of Dove and I, freshmen year and turned around to hear me rant.
"His whole point of coming over here was to get back with me. He asked me out on a date." I said rolling my eyes.
"Well what did you say?" Carter asked walking over and sitting on my bed, patting the place beside him. I took his offer up and sat beside him.
"I told him no." I smiled. "Why would I go out with him if I have myself a Carter right here?" I asked and poked at his sides and stomach. He laid down laughing hard. So I took that chance to sit on his stomach and continue to tickle him. He was laughing so hard so I would stop for a few seconds to let him catch his breath then I would start tickling him even more. He was extremely ticklish. I stopped to let him catch his breath but Carter captured my gaze. He leaned up like he was going to kiss me, so I leaned down. Just as we were millimeters away, Carter flipped us and he was on top tickling me.
"CARTER! GET. OFF. MY. STOMACH." I laughed out. His facial expression changed from laughing and smiled to complete terror.
"I'm so sorry, Aubrianna. Oh my goodness. What is wrong with me?" He asked himself and moved down to my upper thighs.
"It's okay, you're not that heavy, anyways." I assured, smiling. I don't think he bought it though because he just stared at me. It was a caring and protective look. "I promise it's okay. You didn't even hurt me." I leaned up and kissed his cheek then laid back down.
