Ben's P.O.V.

Six months later...

"Now close your eyes this time and feel the force flow through you. Let it guide you." Rey says to the children that we have been training for a while now. Teal closes his eyes and steadies his saber. The ball that Rey found hidden in the Millennium starts to shoots blastd at him and he blocks each and every one with no hesitation. "Yes. That's it, Teal! See, the force guided you and you trusted your instincts. Good job. Now who's next?" She asks as she looks at the other children. I step out of the cabin that was built for me and Rey. There are others for the children. One for the girls and one for the boys that sits just outside the Resistance base. "I'll give it a try." I say. Rey turns around and rolls her eyes. She walks over and gives me a hug. I kiss her and the children automatically "oooh" at us. She ignores them and continues, "I think you just want to show off."

"What? No."

"Mmmmhmmm."

The children laugh at our conversation.

"Well, I'll let you finish." I say.

She smiles and faces toward the children as I go back to our cabin.

After an hour, it's time for lunch. Rey, Poe, Audrey, Finn, Rose and I all sit at the same table. Finn is still slightly distant but he has become less tense around me. We sit at a table in the food court eating our food. Poe kisses Audrey on the cheek, which catches Rey's attention. "What? When did this happen?" She asks.

"Like a week ago, actually." Audrey says blushing.

"What?!" Rey shouts, "how did I not notice?"

Rose smiles in a devilish way. "I think you've been too busy to notice." She says as she looks at me.

"What?"

"About time." Finn says as he cuts Rey off. Poe glares at him and everybody laughs.

"We can have triple dates now." Rose says with a smile.

"We can have one tonight at the beach at dawn." Finn says as he bites into his sandwich.

"Sounds good to me." Rey's says.

"Me too." Poe and Audrey say.

"Ben?" Rey says as she turns her head to look at me.

I smile. "Sure."

"Great." Finn says.

After a long day of training the children I go into our cabin and see Rey standing in front of the mirror with a outfit I've never seen on her before. It's white but in her usual style from Jakku. I walk up and hug her from behind. She jumps but laughs when she realizes it's me.

"Ready?" I ask.

"Just about."

She puts her hair in the way it was when I killed Snoke. With a part of her hair sectioned off, pulling the hair from her face back, showing her true beauty.

"Okay, I'm ready."

I smile and I grab her hand. Ten minutes later we walk to the beach where our triple date is held. It's sunset with the ocean going on for miles. I can see Finn, Rose, Poe and Audrey have already found us a spot for our picnic. We sit down across from them. "Hey guys." Rose says.

"Hi." Rey says.

I just smile slightly, since I still really don't know Rose that well. I'm just glad she got with Finn because I was worried he was going to end up with Rey. I look at Finn and see he that he acting more weird than usual. I can see sweat coming down his forehead.

"Ready to eat?" Rey says.

"I'm starving." Finn says.

After about twenty minutes, we're done eating the dinner and now it's time for dessert. Finn has gotten more anxious with every bite he's eaten. We get our dessert out and start eating. It's a weird jelly cake. It's not bad. Just weird and jiggly. Five minutes later we finish the dessert and Finn does not look well. Rose seems to notice this and lays a hand on his forehead. "Finn? Are you alright?"

"Rose, could you stand up for a second?"

She gets up confused, not looking away from Finn. The next moment, he takes out a ring from his back pocket and gets in the position when you're about to propose. Rey turns to me with a look of shock on her face. She turns back to Finn and Rose.

"Rose, we haven't known each other that long, but since the moment you electrocuted me, I felt like I've known you forever." There's tears in her eyes and running down her cheeks with the biggest smile. "And I promise I will never run away from you... Rose Tico. Will you marry me?"

She's so speechless that she couldn't even say the word yes. Instead she just nodded her head slightly with her hand over her mouth. Finn gets up and puts the ring on her fourth finger on her left hand. They hug and kiss. I look at Rey. Her face is full with complete and utter joy. I look at her and think. Lately, I've been having these thoughts. What if we got married? Would I even be a good husband? I know she wants kids, but would I be a good father? With my past, I have no idea. I want to be the best version of myself for her. But is my best good enough? Still after all this time, I still can't believe she chose me instead of anyone else in this galaxy. I called her nothing once, but she is anything but that.

After they're finished hugging and kissing Rey stands up and congrats them. I stand up slowly while brushing any dirt off my pants. I walk over to Finn. I put my hand out. "Congrats." Finn smiles slightly and we shake hands. I never thought I would be here in this moment, shaking hands with Finn because he just proposed to a girl and I'm actually happy for him, but I honestly think Finn and I are gonna be friends and I don't mind. I could use some friends.
