Look After Ava

Millie's POV.

I woke up in a good mood this morning. Strange to think that Finn touched my hand with his little finger in the theatre got me tingles. I couldn't help it, I think I was falling for him.

"Millie!" I hear my mother shout. I walk downstairs and greet her.

"Yeah mom!" I answer.

"Will you do me a huge favour today. Could you look after Ava for me today?" My mom asked.

"Today?" I questioned. "I made plans!"

"Well tell that person you won't be going out." My mom said getting her stuff together.

"I was actually going to see Finn and hang out with him today." I tell my mom.

"Well hang out with him. But take Ava with you!" She pointed.

"Ava will mess it up!" I told her.

"Please Millie! I have a big assignment go hand in. I'm putting Ava in your hands for now." My mom rushed.

"What about Charlie? Paige?" I ask.

"They're working." Uh! Charlie working!

"Fine. If she says anything, I can't promise anything." I tell her. She nods and kisses me.

"Just don't kill my little girl." My mom joked and left. I was stuck with Ava. Once again!

"I don't want to see Finn!" Ava complained. She complained since we got out.

"Tough! I made plans to hang out with him. I'm lot having you mess it up for me. Just be nice and kind and I might buy you a sweet." Ava stops and stands. I stop and turn. "Ava! Come on!"

"How many sweets we talking?" She asked with her finger on her chin.

"As much as you want!" I say.

"Promise?" She says.

"Promise!" I answer. Ava walks along and met up with Finn.

"Hey!" He looks to me and then Ava. "Hey Ava!" He smiles.

"Look here, smart boy. My sister is innocent and vulnerable if you hurt her I will end you! Understand!" Jesus! What has become my sister? Finn looked up at me in shock. I shake my head in disbelief.

"Sorry!" I apologise. "She's a bit hyped up." I took Ava and whispered to her. "Look here missy. Nothing is going on between me and Finn. If you want sweets I suggest you behave. Or you're going to grandma!" I say to make Ava stop and behave. She doesn't like grandma much.

"Fine!" She answers. I stand up and smile at Finn.

"Where too?" I ask placing a fake smile on my face. Finn smiled nervously and walked ahead. I followed and so did Ava.

We came to a park with kids and I let Ava play around whilst me and Finn talked.

"I'm sorry about her. She's coming off my dad pretty much isn't she?" I ask Finn. He smiles and nod. "Again! I'm sorry." I smile. He smiles back as we sit and watch Ava.

"Look, I know you're mom dumped her on you because one she wouldn't be here if she hadn't." Finn spoke.

"I begged her not to but I had no choice." I told her. "Maybe we could properly hang out tomorrow." I suggest.

"Yeah!" He answers. "Does Ava think we're dating?" He asks.

"Yep!" I answer nervously. "Well! We aren't are we?" I ask. Suddenly he leans in slowly and so do I. But as before we got interrupted by a very loud coughing sound.

"Excuse me! Number one rule, do not make out as you're looking after me. Rule number too, sort that kid out for me!" Ava demanded. I and Finn just laughed and couldn't stop. Ava had her moments but they were cute moments and demanding.

"Shall we go home!" I say. We get up and leave the park. I can't wait to get home right now.

I let Ava in and turned to Finn.

"Sorry about today! My sister is nuts. Probably hyper as usual." I tell him.

"It's fine!" He answers. "Just let me know if you wanna hang out again." He smirked. I smiled back and he left. I watched him go and shut the door. Ugh! Can't wait till mom comes home. She can finally deal with her daughter. She nearly ruined my friendship with Finn. I need Ava sorting before she meets him again.

"Finn likes you!" She told me.

"How do you know?" I ask her. She walks away not telling me. "Ava!"

"Get me sweets then we talk." Oh great!  I'm a slave now! Yes master brown, whatever master brown. Ugh!
