The Date

Millie's POV.

Soon as we got home, Sadie immediately started putting makeup on my face. I told her not too much as I don't want to cover all my face. She applied lipstick that covered the colour of my lips and a little massacre and eye shadow, with blush on the cheeks.

Finally, she showed me what she had down and I was gob smacked. I stared at my appearance and took it all in. I turned to Sadie in my chair.

"How does it look?" I ask. She nods with a smile. "It's nice if I could hear you say it." I say trying to get her to talk to me after today.

"It's beautiful." Sadie seemed stressed about something.

"Sadie?" I call. "What about the other girl? When will I meet her?" Sadie lost her smile and frowned.

"She made a fool of me and I pushed her out of the group." Sadie told me. She told people who I liked and everyone has been picking on me." Sadie sat on my bed, eyes full of tears.

"Hey! Look, you don't need to worry about what they think. Your Sadie Sink. The baddiest bitch down town. You can tell me if you want. I won't tell no one and I'll stand by you." Sadie looks to me. Before she could tell me, my mom entered and looked at me.

"Wow! Makeup on the first date?" She asks.

"Sadie put it on me. Besides this is my second date with him." I told my mom losing my happy tone.

"What's wrong?" My mom asks as the room went dead silent.

"Nothing!" I say playing with my makeup on my table.

"Okay! I'm gonna leave you girls alone." My mom left the room after piling my clothes on my set of draws and leaving.

"Sadie..." I call.

"It's nothing. Can we wait till after?" Sadie asks. I nod and I start getting ready for my date.

"Welcome brown family! You are about to see your daughter go on her very first date even though she said it was her second, which that didn't count. So welcome Millie Bobby Brown!" Sadie introduced me. I stepped out onto the stairs. I peered down at my parents and little sister who already knows, thanks to my mom.

I walked down the stairs and had a first hug from my dad.

"I can't believe my daughter is going on her first date! It feels like just yesterday I brought you home and showed you off to your brother and sister." I smiled at my dad and went to hug my mom.

"You look absolutely gorgeous honey. You're sure gonna make an impression. But a good one." She smiled. I looked to my brother who came out of now where.

"Take care of yourself. If I find out he's hurting you! I will make him suffer." I nod and grin inside. My brother!

"Paige!" I say looking around.

"I'm afraid you missed her." Mom told me.

"That's fine." I look to Ava. She gave me something and it was so nice of her.

"I'm sorry for you phone. I was bad and I wanted to treat you." I appeared at the box and opened up and saw that I got a new phone. I looked to Ava.

"Dad helped me pay for it." She told. I leaned down and hugged my baby sister. Yeah she can be a devil sometimes but she does surprise me.

I broke away and took a deep breath. "You ready to go?" My dad asks me. I nod and follow him out to his car. Sadie stayed behind as she was sleeping over at mine. I got in and waved to half my family and Sadie and dad pulled away and drove off. I was getting excited already.

"Here you go!" My dad stopped the car but kept it running. I climbed out and looked back at my dad after looking at the place. I smiled at my dad.

"Thank you." I thank.

"Text me when you want picking up." He says, I nod and let him leave. I walk into the place and look around. I saw a mop of curly hair and walked towards it. He looked at me and smiled.

"Millie!" He says with a smile. "You look..."

"Oh stop!" I said smiling. He pulls out a chair for me and sit. He sits opposite me and grabs a glass of water and we clink it together. "Is it alright to be here at night?" I ask.

"Yeah! My brother works here so hell be picking me up as well." Finn told me.

"Is he working tonight?" I ask.

"Not tonight but he will be tomorrow." He spoke. We drank our water and started looking at the menu.

"Wow! Not to brag but, it's quite expensive isn't it?" I say looking from the menu.

"It's fine. I have the money." He smiles.

We order our meals and wait patiently for them to arrive.

"Thank you for this. This-this is beautiful." I say with tears surrounding my eyes.

"Here." He passes me a napkin. I use it to wipe away tears before they could ruin my makeup.

"Thank you." I thank. "It's really unlike me to cry."

"You sure?" He smiles. I nod and we start to dig in when our food arrives.

After our meal, Finn took me outside. We sat in a lovely little garden and we sat and chilled by the pond. The water spraying from the middle.

"You really have outdone yourself." I smile at Finn.

"I do it for you. Because I love you Millie." I was super shocked and said I love you back.

"I love you." I say. We lean in and we was close to kissing until we heard someone say something. I turned and saw kids from our school.

"Ew! Is that brown with wolfhard? Wolfhard can do better than brown any day." I was getting a little mad and wanted to run.

"And what is she wearing?" The other said.

"Look likes drag clothes like herself." I took the words in and ran off. I ran opposite them and ran till they were out my site. I heard Finn run after me.

"Millie! Millie! Just ignore them! Millie." I stopped and kneeled on the floor. I cried out and wanted this date to be over. "Do you want me to call someone?" He asks.

"My dad please." I pass him my phone and sobbed. He rang my dad and held me close. This is the worst night because of them girls. Why couldn't they keep their insults to themselves?
