Chapter 8

 was finally the 5th day. I woke up to Dally putting his hand on my head and rubbing my arm. "Hey baby" He said. I was so happy that I kissed Dally's lips. "DALLY!" I Screamed. Ponyboy and Johnny woke up to that. Dally hugged me. "Hey you guys. Wanna go to the DQ? I am starving." Dally said. I got another vision, but this time, no one could tell. After the DQ, it would happen. I was nervous, but I knew my mom and dad would protect me. We all ate at the DQ together. My mom told me in my head that I need to go back to the church now. "Guys we need to go back to the church." I said. They nodded and Dally drove back. As soon as I saw the fire I jumped out of the car. Johnny and Ponyboy followed me. All of the sudden I thought to myself. Whatever happens to me...I won't even care as long as I save Johnny and Ponyboy.  There was a fat man standing by the church, and there was a woman complaining that the children were missing. I heard screaming. There were kids in the church. I immediately bust through the church and I picked them up one by one. With the help of Johnny and Ponyboy, it went faster than it would have been with just the two of em. I threw my hair in a bun in 2 seconds, and I looked to see if there were anymore kids. We got them all out. I turned and saw a wooden plank graze Pony's arm. I saw Ponyboy's arm was starting to burn, but I remembered that Dally gets him out. I knew he would get him out, but I threw Pony towards the window anyways.  I saw Johnny standing by himself. I looked up. A huge plank started to fall. I pushed Johnny out of the way and I got hit. I was holding my side I was burning so bad. But, it's not about me anymore. It's about saving everyone's lives. Dally got Johnny. I looked at Dally. "I love you!" I yelled. Then, the floor broke through. I was in some sort of basement. I looked up. The flames started to spread around me. I just closed my eyes, and waited. 

Dally's POV (This is new)

I just slapped Ponyboy since he was burning, and I accidently knocked him out. I heard Johnny scream, but then I heard him yell Coral's name. I looked through the broken hole in the wall and saw Coral holding her side. She yelled out to me. "I love you!" She screamed. I started to say "I love you too!" But, I couldn't respond. Because my Angel fell through the floorboards, and I thought I would never see her again. Thankfully, I was wrong. Because the firemen got her out. She was all black because of the ash on her skin, her ribs looked horrible, her face was bright red, and she was knocked out. I couldn't help myself...I started crying. 

They threw me into the ambulance with Coral. Corl woke up for a little bit, but then passed out again. They rolled me into the hospital. Pony was sitting on a bench with the fat man from before. I pointed at him. "If you ever pull a stunt like that again, I'll kill you." I said. I looked at Johnny, who was sitting next to Pony, and I gave him a small smile. I then looked to my left, and I saw my beautiful girl...Coral...Knocked out cold on the bed being wheeled into a room.I turned behind me and saw Ponyboy hugging Soda and Darry. I smiled a little. Until, they came over to me and asked about Coral. I took a deep breath, then started to cry. "She saved em man. She saved all of us." I choked out. Soda started to tear up. "Dal, where is she?" He asked. I pointed to the room that they wheeled Coral in. The whole gang eventually came, and we waited for Coral to wake up. 

Coral's POV

I woke up in an ambulance with Dally. Dally was fighting with the EMT. I looked over at Dally, smiled weakly, and grabbed his hand. Dally was tearing up. All of the sudden, I couldn't breathe. I passed out. 

I was taking with my mom and dad for a little bit in my dreams. I finally woke up though. The whole gang was around me. My skin wasn't full of ash anymore. I sat up in the bed and smiled at them. They all hugged me. I winced in pain. I broke most of my ribs. I was talking with the gang for a long time. We all hugged. Darry thanked me for saving Pony and Johnny's life. I nodded. Darry kissed my head. "I am going to let you get some sleep. Soda is going to stay overnight with you so won't be by yourself. Darry winked at me and left. Soda walked over to me. "Some reporters want to talk to you tomorrow. You saved Pony's life, Johnny's life, and Bob's life." He said. I smiled. "That's not all the lives I saved." I muttered. "What do you mean by that?" Soda asked. I pulled the covers up. I was in the hospital gown still. Sod smiled and jumped in bed with me. He wrapped his arms around me, "Before you tell me your story...I have to tell you something, and ask you a question." Soda said. I nodded. "Sandy and I broke up. She has been two timing me for I don't know how long. I love you and you are amazing. I wanted to know..."Will you be my girl?" Soda asked. I nodded fast. I smiled and kissed Soda passionately. "Now...What did you want to tell me?" Soda asked. I smiled. This is going to be a Long night. I thought to myself.
