Chapter 14

2 months later

It's been only 2 months, but a lot has changed. I got a job at The Dingo. I am also living with Dally. We both bought a house together. Soda has been very distant lately. No one knows why. 

Anyways, Dally doesn't work all the time, but sometimes he works at Bucks to make a little extra cash. I had off from work today. Dally was still sleeping. I wrote a note to Dally and told him I would be going to the Curtis's house. I really liked Soda. He wasn't only my boyfriend, but my best friend. I was in a very good mood today as I walked to the Curtis's house. I walked right in and saw Darry and Ponyboy. "Hey Pone." I said smiling. "Hey Coral." Pony said. "Hey Dar, need any help in the kitchen?" I asked. "I am just fine. Thanks sweetie." Darry said. I hugged him and I started to walk out the door. "Hey guys I am going to swing by the Dingo. Want anything?" I asked. "Can you just grab me a coke?" Ponyboy asked. I nodded. "I'll be back in 15 minutes ." I called walking out the door. 

I was walking down the sidewalk when I saw a group of girls walking towards me. Not knowing who they were at first I smiled and continued walking. Until one grabbed my shirt. "What the hell are you wearing? You look like a damn alien." Olivia said. Olivia bullies me. She is really mean and a horrible person. I scoffed. "You should start eating makeup instead of putting it on. Maybe it will make you prettier on the inside." I said spitting at her. I pushed her off me. They called after me, "Hoe!" "Slut!" "Whore!" And other nasty profanities. I shrugged it off. They always try to get on my nerves. 

As I walked into The Dingo, I saw two people making out. I didn't see who it was. I just looked away and walked into the Dingo. I ordered a coke for Ponyboy, and I said hi to my friend, and co-worker, Kyla. Kyla looked at me with worry. "Are you okay honey?" She asked. "I am just fine, why?" I asked. "You didn't see who was outside?" She asked confused with sadness in her voice. I shook my head no. Kyla came out from behind the counter with the Coke in her hand. She led me outside and pointed to the couple making out. I got closer and realized it was Sandy...And Soda. 

"Soda...?" I asked. I was tearing up. "Coral?!" He asked pulling away from Sandy. Sandy looked at me and laughed. "This was the girl you were talking about? The girl everyone is spreading rumors about in school? I joined in on those. That shits funny." Sandy said laughing. I looked at Soda, then back at Sandy. Soda looked sad and really upset. I looked back at Sandy. "Well at least you found another hobby spreading something other than your legs." I said with fake confidence in my voice. Sandy's eyes got wide. I turned to Soda who started to speak I put my hand up and stopped him. "You were my best friend. I can't believe you." I said. I turned around with tears falling down my face. "Coral wait!" Soda said. I turned around. He saw I was crying. He started to ramble. "Just shut the hell up. I don't want to hear any of your bullshit. When Sandy cheats on you once again, I won't be the shoulder you cry on." I said. I flipped them off and walked away.

I am tired of Soda, of my bullies, and of everyone.
