Chapter 24

11:30 PM

We all were in position. I was laying down in a bush. I had my gun out ready to shoot. I heard footsteps. I cocked the gun, and I got ready. 

"Woah woah kid it's just me." Josh whispered and got beside me. "I know your secret." Josh said. I looked back at him, worried. "I won't tell anyone, soldier. I believe women can do the same things as men. Josh reached over to me and took off the fake mustache I was wearing and took my wig off. I put my hair in a ponytail. Josh looked at me. "Be safe kid." He said. I nodded. It was quiet. Too quiet. I looked around and saw someone walking towards us. Something told me to shoot, so I did. I hit the enemy, but then, a huge explosion went off. Everyone started to yell. The enemies were piling out of the woods. Fire was everywhere. This would be no rumble i have ever been to. 

Dally's POV

My head was ringing and killing me. I fell to the ground and yelled. The gang ran to me as soon as I fell. "DALLY!" Johnny yelled. Darry ran into the room. "DAL! WHAT'S WRONG?!" He asked. "I DON'T KNOW!" I yelled back. Then, all of the sudden, it was white everywhere. I saw a man and woman walk into this white room. "Who are you guys?" I said. They looked at each other. "We are Coral's parents." The woman said. I nodded. "We thought you guys would like to know what's going on with Coral right now." They said. I nodded. "I-is she okay?" I asked. "She is okay for now, but things are bad." They said. "We will let the gang know through you. I will talk to you in your head, but it won't be like this. We don't want to hurt you." Coral's dad said. I nodded. "We are happy to meet you." The mom said smiling. I nodded and smiled back. I woke up on the couch at the Curtis's house with them surrounding me. "Guys..." I started. "Coral's parents talked to me. They are going to tell us what's happening with Coral right now." I said. They all looked surprised. "Sit down everyone." I said. "Things are getting bad." I said. They sat down. I saw Coral fighting. "Come on Coral." I said looking at the wall.

Coral's POV

"Come on Coral." Dally said

I gasped when I heard Dally's voice. "Dally?!" I whisper-yelled. I heard someone running towards me. I got my gun out and shot them, then I took his gun, and put it in my pants. Fire was everywhere. Everyone was fighting. I saw Josh with a gun to his head. I took my aim and shot the man. I ran to Josh. He had a bullet wound  in his shoulder from another battle. I ripped a part of my shirt and I wrapped it tightly around his shoulder before putting him in a bush. I saw a sniper aiming his gun at Jackson. The guy I met in the tent. I ran over to him and I jumped in front of him, shooting the sniper. Jackson looked at me surprised. He noticed I am a girl. I rolled my eyes and went to help someone else. I was running in a field with gunshots all around me. All of the sudden. My ears were ringing. I turned around. Bombs were going off, and they were getting closer to me. I was standing right on a bomb when it went off. My body flew into the air a couple feet, then, it was black.

Dally's POV

"She just saved some guy." I said. Everyone cheered. "She just saved another guy from a sniper, and she killed the sniper." They cheered again. "She is running. There is a lot of fire. She is in an open field." I said staring at the wall. I held my ears. Gunshots were all around. "Dal, what's wrong?" Ponyboy asked. "Gunshots are everywhere." I said. They all looked worried. 

A couple seconds later I started screaming..."RUN CORAL RUN! COME ON CORAL!" I yelled. Everyone stood up, scared. "GUYS THERE ARE BOMBS FOLLOWING HER! SHE CAN'T GET...No...NO!" I screamed. "SHE STEPPED ON A BOMB! I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING!" I Screamed. They all had wide eyes. "I can't see anything." I said quietly. "What do you mean you can't see anything?" Eric asked. "I MEAN...I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING." I yelled. I was crying now. "She's gone." I said. "She's really gone."
