Chapter 18

This is Eric^ you'll meet him later in the story. This chapter is sorta boring...Sorry!

Soda's POV

I don't know what's wrong with me. I loved Coral. Correction...I Love Coral. She was an amazing girlfriend. She saved so many people, and almost got herself killed saving Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dallas. I am so stupid for running back to Sandy. I don't know what to do. I guess Sandy is my girlfriend now. I deserved that hit from Dally. Everyone was mad at me. Darry said, "I don't know what's gotten into you kid, but I don't like it." I cried in my room for a while. Pony is still sleeping with Darry even though the bed's open. I was looking out the window and just thinking about random stuff when I saw someone that caught my eye walk by. She was HOT! She was walking with Dally. He probably got himself a new broad. I thought to myself. She was laughing about something Dally said. She turned her head and laughed harder. That's when I saw who it was...

Coral.

Coral's POV

Dally was cracking random jokes and was trying to make me feel better. I still felt sort of empty on the inside. I didn't know what to do. I didn't need a boyfriend to keep me going or anything. I have 4 people keeping me going. Me, Myself, and I. And Dally of course. Dally and I were walking to the Dingo when I saw Two Bit, Ponyboy, and Johnny. They all sprinted up to me and hugged me. Pony of course hugged me first because Pony does track. "Where have you been? You look amazing! Are you okay?" Pony said really fast examining the cuts on my arms from the glass. I nodded. "I am doing so much better. I was tired of being inside the house for so long, so I decided to go out with Dally. Johnny and Two Bit hugged me after Ponyboy. "Damn baby. You look sexy." Two Bit said slurring. I laughed. "Go home Two, you're drunk." I said laughing. "Only if you come with me." Two Bit said. "Go home Two bit!" I yelled laughing. Dally was laughing too. "Hey Coral are you going to the Curtis's anytime soon?" Johnny asked softly. Everyone looked at me waiting for my answer. "Not today." I said ruffling Johnny's hair. Johnny backed up and fixed his hair. "Dally and I are going to The Dingo if y'all wanna come." I said. Ponyboy and Johnny wanted to go, but Two Bit was going to hunt some action. Slowly, the gang was getting back together. The only people I haven't seen was Steve, Darry, and Soda.

As Dally and I walked into the Dingo with Johnny and Ponyboy, we were laughing about random stuff. It was one of those days where everything is funny. You can say something about grass and everyone would start laughing. We all took a seat in a booth very close to the door. We didn't order lunch or anything, we just ordered 4 chocolate milkshakes - our favorite. I looked over and saw a whole bunch of Socs sitting in the booth next to us. I rolled my eyes. They were looking at me up and down. They were saying stuff to their friends about me. But, it wasn't bad stuff, it was good stuff. I obviously didn't want to hear the dirty things they said about me, but I still enjoyed the attention, since I didn't get it from Sodapop. Dally and they boys were "Oooooo-Ing" and making little comments that made me laugh. One Soc caught my eye tho. He wasn't making any dirty comments. He didn't call me hot...He called me beautiful. When I looked at him, he winked. Everyone at my table, and at the Socs table stopped laughing when they saw me and the Soc make eye contact. "Yo, Eric, if you like her ask her out on a date!" One of the Socs said. The Soc, Eric, got up and walked over to me. Even closer he was hotter. I bit in my lip slightly. "Would you like to go to dinner with me tonight?"Eric asked. I stuck my hand out. "My name is Coral. And, sure, pick me up at 8:00?" I asked. "Where at?" He asked. "Just go to the abandoned lot, and I'll meet you there." I said. He nodded. "see you tonight." Then, he left.

I looked at the boys who's mouths were wide open. "Coral. I'm not gay or anything, but guy's good lookin." Dally said with his mouth wide open. I laughed, and everyone laughed. "We need to help you get ready." Pony said. Johnny nodded. "Alright well, let's go get ready for my date!" I said. Everyone laughed and we walked back to my house.
