"You alright?" I sighed loudly and looked over at Tyga.
"Eh, I'm fine."
I totally wasn't fine. I had been a wreck since I left Brooklyn in New York, I was dying to be with her again. But I said I wouldn't force her to do anything and I didn't. But I missed her so much, it hurt. I had called her a few times but she never picked up so I was guessing she needed some time. Talking to me so soon after I left would probably make her miss me but even without talking, she said she loved me so she had to miss me just like I missed her.
"You're depressed about Brooklyn aren't you?" Tyga asked.
"Maybe." I replied.
"Have you read her new fan fiction about you? Her followers love it, it's already gotten a lot of votes. More than her last one." I shot up and looked at him.
"She posted a new fan fiction about me on wattpad?" He nodded and I looked around for my phone, spotting it on the chair across for me. I instantly dived for it and grabbed it, going straight to her page on wattpad. As soon as it came up, I saw the new story, called "Love and Hate". In this story, I was some deep mysterious bad boy and the main girl, Elaina, was struggling to find out why she felt so connected to me. She had a boyfriend that she loved but she couldn't shake me from her mind. I decide to go get my iPad instead so I could have a bigger screen to read the story on. And when I finally found it, I laid down in my bed and read it.
After about 10 minutes, I had caught up to the part she stopped at and realized something. I had given up too easily on Brooklyn and I knew I had to go win her heart. I had to go back to New York and find a way to make her come with me. Because from this point, I knew I couldn't live without Brooklyn. And I was going to get her back.
*Next Day*
I didn't feel like getting on another plane so I decided to take my private jet and this time, Tyga insisted he go with me. He just wanted to go to New York and shop so I let him. We packed some bags to take and Pat loaded up the plan for us. Him and Terry were coming along again too so when I felt that we had everything, I told the pilot, Nick, that we were ready to go. I couldn't wait to see Brooklyn again.
I took a massive sleeping pill and slept for most of the ride. I was groggy when I woke up but Nick announced that we were almost to the city so that perked me up a bit. Tyga was knocked out next to me so I got up and grabbed a water bottle, walking out the back to join Terry and Pat up front.
"You really think you can win this girl over?" Terry asked me. I took a sip of my water and sighed.
"I have to try." I answered.
"I've gotta say, you got a lot of heart." He said.
"What can I say? I love her."
Nick made us buckle in when we were landing so that nothing would happen. As soon as we hit the runway, I felt like jumping off and running after Brooklyn. Terry had tried to get me to wait to go see her until morning but I had to see her now. It was only 9pm anyway.
We drove to a nice hotel so we could settle down but I told them I had to go. I rented a silver Maserati and headed straight to Brooklyn's house. I didn't care if I had to wake her up, I needed to talk to her now.
When I finally pulled up in front of her house, something seemed different and her dad's car wasn't in the driveway. I ran up to the door and rung the doorbell, desperately waiting for her to answer. Someone finally did but it wasn't her.
"Omg, you're Chris Brown!" The woman exclaimed. She looked to be around maybe 21 or 22.
"I'm looking for Brooklyn." I said.
"Who?"
"Brooklyn Andrews, she lived here." I told the woman.
"Oh, I think I know that name. Those were the people who lived here last. They moved, something about her father needing to leave or whatever. But you're welcome to come in and have a drink with me." She said seductively.
"Sorry, I'm in a rush." I blurted out. I turned around and ran back to my car, quickly getting in. Dammit, how was I suppose to find her? She wouldn't answer my calls. But, I still had someone else's number. I yanked out my phone and dialed.
"Who the hell is calling me at this-"
"May!" I literally yelled into the phone.
"God, lower your voice! Who is this, what do you want?"
"It's me, Chris. I'm in New York looking for Brooke, the lady at her house said she moved." May grew silent and the background noise ceased.
"Chris.." She spoke softly. "I don't know where she is. H-her dad went bankrupt and they lost everything. I tried to make her come stay with me but she said she had somewhere to stay and she wasn't gonna intrude on me. I can't help you, cause she wouldn't even tell me where she was staying." My heart shattered. Who knows where she was? And why did her father lose all his money?
I thanked May for the info and hung up with her, thinking about what I was going to do. Brooke had probably lied to May about her having somewhere to stay so she could be anywhere.
I drove around the city, just looking around in hope that I might spot Brooke wandering. That was going to be hard though because it had started raining and everyone was running for shelter and traffic was slow. I got off on one of the small clear roads and drove by myself. There was no way I going to find her. It was impossible. I pulled over and parked next to the sidewalk with a bench. Someone was laying on the bench in the rain and I thought I should get out and get them out the rain. Maybe doing something nice for someone would help me feel a little better.
I pulled my jacket over my head and got out, running over to the person on the bench. It was a woman and I picked up the blanket they had over their face, gasping at who it was. I couldn't believe my eyes. The woman...it was Brooklyn.
