"It's time, Your Highness." The rabbit spoke to the regal lady standing before him, his tone of voice conveying the seriousness of the conversation. The somber woman inclined her head in agreement.
"Indeed it is. These are dark days for our world. We cannot go on like this much longer. We need her."
The gentlemanly rabbit flipped open his silver pocket watch and studied it carefully. Nodding his head, he snapped it closed, tucking it back in place inside his pocket. The watch's chain was pinned neatly to his patterned vest, its buttons fastened tidily down his furry white chest.
"I must go now so I will not be missed, it's a long journey to reach the Upper Lands."
Her Highness smiled. "Of course, we cannot have you be late. Safe travels my friend, I hope to see you in our Kingdom again soon."
Giving her another deep bow, the rabbit immediately hopped off. His task was of the utmost importance. Perhaps the most important mission he had ever embarked on. The fate of their entire world rested in his paws.
At least, for the moment.
