this what happen when I think 'bout you
I lay sleepless in my bed, thinking about what had just gone down previous hours ago with my now ex. y/n. i said some things I didn't mean and she said some things, she said that she was done with me and we broke it off. I let out a loud sigh and turn to my side, drifting off into a slumber.

i get in my feelings, yeah.
I watched as she laughed with her friends just across the hall, acting as if though we didn't just break up the night before. how could she move on so fast? I groaned as I closed my locker, she didn't even glance at me as I walked by. I put my head down and sighed.

class was finally over and I arrived at my locker once more putting some books I didn't need away. I heard a giggle, a familiar giggle. y/n's giggle. I hesitantly turned my head and I saw her, with another guy, smiling and laughing. I grew jealous quickly and slammed my locker shut and stormed off.

i start reminiscing, yeah.
I walked into my room as I ran a hand through my bowl cut, I looked at myself in the mirror. I sighed and turned my head to see the polaroids of us hanging on the side of the mirror.
One stood out, there is one where i was looking at her as she smiled at the camera. she looked so happy and boy so was I.

flashback #1; September; your bday

she blew out her candles and I smiled at how happy she looked, I kissed her on the cheek causing her to blush.

she giggled and smiled

I heard a knock on my door making me jolt awake, I rubbed my eyes and went to the door. I opened it without looking up.
will- yes?
I looked up to see y/n, with tear stained eyes and red puffy lips.
y/n- uh hey
my eyes widened and I soon let her in, she smiled slightly and thanked me.
will- w-what are you doing here?
y/n- I came to apologize, I said some things I didn't mean and I'm pretty sure you did too.
will- yeah, yeah definitely. I'm so sorry
she nodded and extended her arms out for a hug with a playful pout.
y/n- don't leave me hangin
I chuckled and pulled her in a hug, she snuggled into my chest.
y/n- maybe we can start over, be friends?
will- yeah, yeah cool
I smiled and hugged her tighter.

waiting on a sign, guess it's time for a different prayer
I walked into school, with a smile on my face. I walked up to my group of friends and they welcomed me.
mike- how have you been? y'know after the-
will- we are just friends for right now but I have hope..
they all exchanged looks and nodded.
I said my goodbyes and walked to my locker, I opened it and put my things in. I turned out of habit and saw Brett kissing y/n, she pulled away and smiled. she made eye contact with me and her smile dropped, I shook my head and walked off to class.

lord please save her for me, do this one favor for me
I held my head down the rest of the day, maybe I was wrong about being hopeful about y/n and I. I shook my head and walked out the school, not caring that the day wasn't over yet. i just needed some space. I do hope one day she'll realize what a prick he is and come back to me, but prayers don't seem to work in my favor.

i had to change my player ways, got way to complicated for me
I have been seeing different girls for that past few months, each day a new girl. Right now two of them are both at my doorstep with angry looks on their faces.
