🙊Brooklyn🙊

A few hours later...

"Hey Mom," Zion greeted as he walked to the car.

"Hey, Zi. How was your day?" I asked.

"It was good," He answered as he got in the car.

Brooklyn got in the driver's seat whilst I did up Sabrina's seatbelt. Then I got in the passenger's seat.

We drove home with a steady conversation about our day and other random things that we miraculously just thought up.

Once we got home we all got out of the car and went inside. Brooklyn and Sabrina decided on making cookies, so that's what they were doing in the kitchen whilst Zion went up to his room to do whatever and I sat on the sofa, listening to Sabrina and Brooklyn's giggles, jokes, and small talk.

I smiled as I heard Sabrina squeal.

"Dad!" Sabrina exclaimed.

"What?" Brooklyn giggled.

This continued as they kept baking cookies, although I'm sure they were just making a big mess in the kitchen more than they were making cookies.

"Mom! Do you want a cookie?" Sabrina asked from the kitchen.

"Sure, Pumpkin," I replied.

She came with two cookies in hand. One she gave to me, whilst the other she shoved in her mouth, smearing chocolate on her lips in the process.

I stifled a laugh at the state of my daughter's face and took a bite of the familiar-tasting cookie.

"How is it?" Sabrina asked.

"It's really good," I complimented.

"Thanks, mommy." Sabrina grinned.

"You've got chocolate on your lips," I commented.

She giggled. "Oh."

I got up and got a cloth, putting it under water and then wringing it out. Then I went back to Sabrina and gently rubbed the cloth over her lips whilst holding her head still with my fingers under her chin.

I threw the cloth aimlessly across the room, since I was too lazy to put it away properly.

Sabrina laugh. "That's not where it goes!"

"But I'm too lazy to put it away," I claimed.

She smiled innocently and picked it up, walking away with it.

Brooklyn walked into the living room and sat beside me, putting his head on my shoulder.

"I'm tired," He complained.

"Then go to bed," I said.

"No," He said as he looked up at me.

"Then it looks like your problem won't be fixed anytime soon," I stated.

He groaned and hugged me close to him.

We sat like that on the sofa for awhile, silently enjoying each other's company.

Hey guys! This was only a short chapter, and I'm sorry for that, but if you don't know I just had surgery done on my right side to remove my appendix so I wouldn't die. It still really hurts and because of that, it's hard to focus. So the chapters may be a bit shorter lately and I'm sorry for that, but I'm still gonna try to write.

Anyway, hope y'all have a great day!

See you on the flip side🌵🔄

Sincerely,
Meredith
