💎Ivy💎

Wednesday

"Ivy, wake up," Brooklyn said quietly.

I groaned and opened my eyes, looking into Brooklyn's green ones.

"We have to take the kids to school," He stated.

I sat up and stretched, getting out of bed after and going to the bathroom.

Once Sabrina and Zion were in school Brooklyn went to the pack house to work whilst I went home and laid in bed because I'm tired and lazy.

I sighed, looking around the empty room, wishing that Brooklyn was here. He often leaves to go to the pack house, but I still haven't gotten used to it. I hate it when he's gone.

"When will you be home?" I asked Brooklyn.

"In a few hours," He replied.

"Why? I miss you!" I whined.

"I have to work," He stated.

"But you're being too hard on yourself," I said.

"And you have to work too," He said.

"Yeah, but I'm not pressuring myself to get everything done in one day," I stated.

"Okay. I'll be home in an hour," He said.

"Okay," I said.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

Yes, I do work. Like I said I wanted to do, I became an author. I usually write a bit a day, except for the days where Brooklyn and I are with the kids and we're both not working. I write both online books and books that can be let out in stores. I've just always been fascinated with writing and I never knew why.

I exhaled slowly and stared at the ceiling, hoping that Brooklyn would come home soon.

"Babe, I'm home!" Brooklyn called from downstairs as he closed the door.

I got up quickly and raced downstairs. I jumped on him and embraced him.

He chuckled. "I didn't think you missed me that much."

"I always do," I say.

I unwrapped my legs from his waist and dropped myself back onto the ground. Then I locked the door, since Brooklyn never does, and pecked his lips.

"So, what have you been doing whilst I was gone?" Brooklyn asked as he took off his shoes.

"Nothing, really. I've just been laying in bed," I answered.

He laughed. "Of course."

He walked to the kitchen and got himself a glass of water and a blood bag. I followed him and just got a glass of water, since I wasn't hungry.

Brooklyn got this far away look in his eyes as he stared randomly at the wall, completely spaced out. Automatically I knew that he was mind-linking someone, most likely a pack member.

He snapped back into reality as I put the glass that I was drinking out of down.

"Who was that?" I asked.

"Martina. She was just reminding me of the meeting," Brooklyn replied.

"Oh," I said in a monotone voice. I didn't like thinking of the meeting because I knew what was to come of it. I'd have to see my abusive ex who wants to talk to me and most likely get back together with me, which is most definitely not going to happen.

"I know you don't like it, and neither do I. But it'll only be short and I'll be beside you the whole time," Brooklyn reassured.

"And why have we switched rolls now? I thought you were the one who was freaking out," I said with a smirk.

"Yeah, and I'm still pissed off about it," He grumbled.

I wrapped my arms around his waist and laid the side of my head on his chest. I couldn't hear his heartbeat, because he doesn't have one, but I still knew that if he did then it'd be pounding, but slowly calming down.

"It'll be alright," I whispered.

He sighed and nodded.

But little did he know that I was actually trying to assure myself of that.

Hey guys! I got no sleep whatsoever last night, but I still managed to write this chapter! I'm magical, I know😂

But anyway, hope y'all have an amazing day!

See you on the flip side🌵🔄

Sincerely,
Meredith
