Chapter 11

"Cody Shallows. Age seventeen. His power: fire manipulation. Gang: Heaven to Hell. Also known as H.T.H."

"It's obvious he's gotten stronger and healthier."

"He must feel even more amazing in the bed now."

"For once can you talk with your head and not your dick."

Madori rolls his eyes and takes out his earphones, "When are they coming?"

"Give it a little longer. He'll be here soon." Axel says and leans against the wall next to him.

"He's here." Alfredo smirks and points over to the door.

The giant bar went silent as the four walked in. Silver was behind them and looks over to another man sitting at a table with empty beer bottles scattered across it.

"John Velasco." Silver nods his head to him and the man stands up.

"Silver Dixon, it's been a while." He grins and whistles.

Four more teens stand from a table and glare over at the others. Cody clenched his fists as he sees the man that had approached him at the store. The guy quickly glances to a corner of the bar and Cody follows his gaze.

He and Madori lock eyes with glares. Cody feels his body go numb but shows no signs of weakness. John claps his hands together twice and the ground begins to rumble. The floor separates in the middle and splits into a secret entrance. John and his fighters walk in first with Silver and everyone behind them.

They reach the bottom floor and look around the giant circle opening in the middle of the room. Many random people coming flooding in and surround the circle with their beer bottles in their hands. Aaron towers over most of the people and pulls Cody closer as it becomes more crowded. Max and Cana push themselves through the crowd to reach the circle with Aaron and Cody right behind them.

They finally reach the opening and as they cross a boundary a transparent blue light surrounds the circle. The four look straight at their opponents and Max plays a psychopathic grin.

"Let's end this quickly." He snickers and licks his lips.

He looks up at the hanging red light and becomes even more anxious the longer it stays red. Cody and Aaron share a glance then nod in sync with each other. The light turns green and Cana was the first to move.

A guy with blond hair and green eyes follows her moves with his super speed and they clash in the middle of the circle. They both had stopped each other's punches with their own and glare before using their speeds once more. Max charges at a man who had a hoodie covering his face and his hands in his pockets.

Cody and Aaron were running to the sides of the circle and let the other team choose who to fight. A girl with pink hair and bright white eyes and gold glowing magic covers her fists runs at Aaron.

The last guy chooses Cody and shoots lightning at him. He blasts fire at it before rolling out of the way and dodging it. The ends of his hair were on fire and so were his hands. He runs at the guy as he raises his hand to shoot more lightning. Cody kicks his hand away and the guy grabs Cody's wrist with his other hand.

He sends lightning shooting through Cody's body causing him to fall to the ground and scream in pain. The guy towers over him and shakes his head.

"I warned you. Didn't you see them?" He says and reaches down to Cody again.

Cody kicks him back and jumps up back to his feet. He runs at him again and punches him across the face with a fiery fist.

"I saw them, but I know my team is stronger than they are." Cody stands back into a fighting stance.
