Chapter 18

"If you wish to hold your father's power then you need to stop falling to the ground like this." Demoni growls and kicks Aaron back.

"I'm just a kid! How in the world can I fight you?" He cries and falls to his knees again.

"I don't care if you're a child! You should be able to at least land one hit on me!" Demoni yells and slaps him.

"Shut up!" Aaron screams and drops his duffle bag and falls to his knees.

"Aaron!" Cody exclaims and runs to him.

"Stay away! Leave me alone!" Aaron had his ears covered and his blue ring started to illuminate.

"A-Aaron? What are you doing?" Cody asks and slowly backs away.

Aaron's fingernails started to grow into claws and his skin was turning into scales. Cody stops and walks to him. He gets down on his knees in front of Aaron and grabs his hand to rip off the ring.

"Cody! I'm okay! You don't have to." Aaron rips his hand away.

"What happened?" Cody asks and places his hand over Aaron's sweaty forehead, "You're burning up. Are you sick?"

"I think so. I feel like crap." Aaron groans.

"Is everything okay, guys?" A short brunette and grey-eyed man runs to them.

"Yeah, we're fine. Just trying to get to our rooms." Aaron looks up at him.

"Ok, well let me at least help with your luggage." The man says and picks up Aaron's black duffle bag.

"Thanks, Nate." Cody nods his head and helps Aaron to his feet.

"No problem. Where are your rooms?" Nate asks.

"Just down the hall." Cody wraps Aaron's arm around his shoulder.

"Do you want me to bring Aaron some water?" Nate takes Cody's bag as well.

"I'm fine." Aaron mutters.

"Shut it," Cody nudges him, "Yes, thank you, Nate.

Cody reaches into Aaron's pocket and grabs a set of keys. The room number was 327B.

"327B? That's right here." Nate says and stops in front of the door, "Sorry for reading your mind. It's just a habit."

"It's fine." Cody chuckles and hands the keys to him.

Nate takes them and unlocks the door. He holds the door open and Cody walks in and leads Aaron to the twin bed. He lays Aaron down and feels his head again.

"I'll be back with the water." Nate nods his head and closes the door when he leaves.

Cody starts to walk away from the bed but Aaron grabs his hand.

"Don't leave." Aaron mumbles.

"I'm not. I'm just going to go get a cold cloth for your he-" Aaron pulls Cody onto the bed and flips on top of him.

Aaron hugs him and Cody stays on the bed frozen in place. Aaron lifts up his head and looks down at Cody with a dazed expression.

"A-Aaron? What are you doing?" Cody stutters and Aaron smashes his lips against Cody's.

Cody closes his eyes and pushes into the kiss. Aaron inserts his tongue and their kissing becomes more passionate. Cody wraps his arms around Aaron to pull him closer and Aaron moves down to his neck.

"W-wait." Cody whispers as Aaron starts to lick and nibble.

He slides his hand under Cody's shirt and moves up his body.
