Aaron grabs his green gem but before he could say anything the car lands upside down and into the freezing salty water. His head slams into the roof of the car and his body turns numb.

Cody quickly unbuckles himself and falls into the water that was already filling the car. Aaron's widow was open and the front windshield was completely shattered. The roof of the car had caved into the point where neither Cody or Aaron could fit through the windows. Cody grabs Aaron and lifts him up out of the water.

"Wake up, please!" Cody shakes him but gets nothing in response.

He looks around and sees the back window was shattered. Cody puts Aaron onto his back and wraps his arms over his shoulder. He moves as quickly as he could to the window as the ice cold water reaches his hips. Aaron's fingers start to twitch and he groans in pain as feeling starts to come back into his body.

"Cody?" He mumbles.

"Don't worry, I have you. I'm going to get us out of here." Cody says and Aaron tries to stand.

"I can walk, but I don't know if I can swim." Aaron rubs his head and leans against the side of the car.

"Then stay on me. We need to get out right now!" Cody says and grabs Aaron's arm.

They both climb out as the water reaches up to their chests. They come up to the surface as the car completely falls under the water. Aaron was holding onto Cody until he is pulled under. His pants were stuck to a metal rod that was sticking out from the car.

Aaron tries to pull himself free but his lungs were screaming for air. He had no air in his chest and started to get dizzy. His body becomes weak and he looks up as Cody dives down to him. Cody grabs Aaron's shirt and pushes his lips against Aaron's. He gives all the air from his mouth to Aaron then pulls away. He closes his mouth to keep the air in and Cody swims down to his leg. He braces his legs against the car and pulls up on the rod. It slowly starts to bend and Aaron's leg slides free. Cody pushes off the car and grabs Aaron's hand as they both swim back to the top. Cody gasps for air and coughs up water, and so does Aaron.

"Thanks." Aaron coughs.

Cody nods and continues to cough. Aaron looks behind him at the ocean cliff and the small beach.

"We should get back to shore." Aaron says and helps Cody stay above water.

"I-I should be helping you." Cody coughs.

"We're both fucked up right now." Aaron chuckles, "Hurry, let's go."

Aaron turns around and they both swim towards the beach. Cody's body was starting to tighten up and his lips were turning blue because of the freezing water.

"I can stand." Aaron says as they reach only a few feet from the sand.

He looks back at Cody who was shaking and trying his best to keep his head above water. Aaron grabs him and lifts him up.

"I-I'm o-o-okay." Cody shivers.

"Shut up and let me help you." Aaron says, "You saved my life. This is the least I could do."

Cody looks up at him and smiles while resting his head on Aaron's chest. Aaron walks onto the shore and gently lowers Cody down onto the cold sand. Aaron looks around but the dim moonlight was the only thing letting him see the small beach.

"Maybe I can find some wood and we can make a fire." Aaron says.

"I-It's fine because once I dry off I'll be able to use my fire again." Cody says.

"How are you going to dry off during the beginning of fall at night? It's too cold and you're as cold as ice." Aaron shakes his head.

Cody looks up at him to argue but freezes. Blood was running down Aaron's head and he seemed to not notice.
