"Sam? What are you doing here?" Chad just open the door and find Sam in front of it. "I thought you supposed to be at work?"
"I quit. I took a flight afterwards." Her face is as cold as it is, covered with dry tears that she hopes can't be seen by her brother. "What happened?"
"Nothing. I'm just tired and I told Dave I quit."
"It doesn't sound like you, at all. Come on, what is it?"
"Really Chad, it's nothing." She walks passed him and straight to her room.

Meanwhile, it's been hours since the first time Dave tried to call Sam. Nate's attempt to catch her wasn't good either. They can't reach her. "I think she's probably back to Chad's house. We need to let her have some times and then we all can try to talk with her. All of us." Nate emphasize that part and referred it to Taylor.
Dave put his phone and stop trying to call her. "You're right. We'll try it soon as we got back from this tour leg. And Taylor, you better say sorry to her and bring her back."

Hey. Anthony. I'm in front of your place. Open up.

Sam goes to Anthony's apartment and sent him a text just a day after she was back to Chad's house. Her brother is taking Nancy and kids for a dinner and she snuck out.

Not long after, Anythony open the door. "Hey Sam! It's a surprise. What's up?"
"Are you free tonight?"
"Kinda. Why?"
"I need friend.. tonight."
"Oh, so I'm a friend now? Not one night stand again?" He giggles and Sam just rolls her eyes. "No. Seriously."
"Just kidding. Come in."

It's kinda amazed her how tidy the place is right now. As long as she can remember, it was a mess back then. At the time they did it years ago. "So, don't you have something to say?" Sam doesn't answer the question. "Hello? Sam?" He repeat it until she's back to her head. "Uh, yeah?"
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing... Just... So tidy."
"About that..." He smirks, and Sam quickly catch the cue. "Oh my!!! Are you dating someone?"
"Yeah. And I really like her."
"Oh thanks God."
"What's that supposed to mean? Haha." They take a seat and Anthony pour a drink for her. " Nothing. I'm just so happy for you."
"Alright, alright. Enough about me. What about you? What brings you here? You're supposed to be at work."

"Yup. I..quit. That's all."
"Seriously. I guess it has something to do with Taylor?"
"No. It's not." She bit her lip. "Sam?"
"Okay. Maybe a little."

So Sam tells him the whole story. About Nina and her behavior, how Taylor defend her and how Sam was sick of it. Everything. "Basically, she's a pain in the ass." Anthony laugh uncontrollably. "Yes. And why you even laugh?"
"No... just, it seems like more than that."
"Like what?"
"You're jealous too. Like you're so pissed because he got a toxic girlfriend."
"Tony.."
"Hey, I'm not that dumb. From the way you talked about it, you're kinda jealous."

Nina and Taylor is having a dinner after the band decided to have a day off so they can gather with their families. Dave is planning to take Jordyn to see a movie too.

"So, how's it going with your band? I feel bad that you guys need to find another engineer in a short period of time." She says, playing a sorry face. "Umm, not really good actually. But we don't search for a new engineer yet. We decided to let Leo work without someone to supervise him until we can get Sam back."
"Why don't just let Leo be the main engineer and find another one to be his assistant?"
"Sam is the best one so far. Also, umm, I brought her to this job when she was about to have another job so I feel responsible."
"Oh, okay... But who is she? Really? Why is she so special? Like, everyone like her." As annoying as it is, Taylor can't tell her that his band mates hates her because she is Yoko Ono-ish. "Sam is a fun person to hang out with. They have the same jokes and else."
"What about you?"
"Me?"
"Yeah you."
"Umm. We're best friend..or at least I thought we were, up until the fight yesterday."
"Isn't Dave your best friend?"
"He is, but... it's a different case. I know her brother for a long time, and get to know her from him. Even better, Dave also has known about him long before I joined the band, since he was in Nirvana. And then when we need new engineer, I found out from her brother that she was once a good engineer."
"Oh, okay. So, seems like her brother is a well-known person. Can I know who he is?"
"Chad Smith." She's almost choked. "What? You mean from Red Hot Chili Peppers."
"Right."
"Uh. No wonder."
"What?"
"No wonder everyone like her. She had a famous brother."
"No, we genuinely like her for her personality. Also, she's not even his biological sister. She was adopted."
"Oh, right. Adopted sister." She rolls her eyes. "What is that for?" Taylor ask her, start to get annoyed. "Nothing. Just, she was adopted... You have no idea who's her real parents. No wonder she has no class like her brother."
"Nina, stop."
"What?" Taylor takes a deep breath and lose his appetite. "Nevermind."

After talking like an hour and a half, Sam takes a look at the window, realize that it's about to raining. "I think you should stay for a night." Anthony put his palm out to feel the air. "No, Chad will be furious if he knows I stay at your place."
"But it will rain tonight."
"I know, but it's only rain. I can take a warm shower later." She smiles and take her jacket. "Or at least let me drive you home with my car. You can get your bike tomorrow."
"Naah. I'm fine. Thanks Tony. For listening."
"Yeah. Alright. Take care Sam."
"Bye." The door closed and Sam walking to the parking lot and put her helmet on.

It's only halfway through but, just like what she thought, it's start raining lightly when she feels like she get a phone call. So she pulls aside, stop near a bus stop and take off her helmet to take the call. "This is Sam."
"Sam, it's Taylor..."
"Yeah. What?"
"I want to say sorry, on behalf of Nina. I mean I should..."
"It will not change my mind. If you're calling to make me work with you again, I'm done."
"No, Sam. It's really just me, I feel bad. And I get that you're angry because of me. I will make sure my band understand your decision if that's what you want."
"Yeah you better.." Her sentence has been cut just a moment before she can finish it. And from across the line, Taylor hear a sound of something being hit and the sound of phone falling to the ground.

"Sam? Hey, you're here? Sam, please say something.... Sam!"
