Crazy Little Thing

"Sam? Are you ready?" Chris is about to go to the studio and he remembers that he promised her to drive her to her new office. "Wait a minute Chris!" She runs still with shoes on her hands. She definitely wakes up late. "Sorry. I didn't hear my alarm."
"I did. It was loud." He smirks. "Really? Oh, I'm so sorry. This is embarrassing. I didn't even wake up."
"That's okay. Come on let me help you." He take her bag and let her put her shoes on their way out.

He dropped her off nearly to her office and then manage to throw a paper bag to her which she didn't see at the backseat earlier. "What's this?"
"Your lunch. Don't eat junk food on your first day." It makes her giggles. "You really mocks me huh Shiflett?"
"Kinda. Good luck!" He close the window and then took off. Straight to the studio.

When he looks at the clock, he realized that he still get an hour left so he pull up at a book store right next to the studio and decided to buy a book before the recording. There's one book that Sam couldn't stop talking about last night. It was a comedy book which she suggested him to read just so he can appreciate himself more. She told him that the book helped her when she was a teenager.

New job is kinda boring this far. It's not as intense as what she did on stage. Most things here are well in place and never really being moved for a long time, so just a small chance to change anything. "How are you this far?" Shelly just walks passed by and decided to get along with Sam. "Umm. Pretty good actually."
"Good. You're gonna enjoy working here then. Trust me, if you survive day one, there's nothing can bother you."
"Yeah sure." What she did here is nothing compared with what she did on tour. So it's a piece of cake. "Oh, by the way... I know it's your first day, but you and me will meet a producer today. They will have a new episode on one of our show and we need a quick meeting." She gives her a paper of brief so she can at least understand the base of this show.

At that moment Sam start to freeze soon after seeing a very familiar name. "What's wrong, Sam?"
"Umm.. nothing.. really..." She's so stoned by the coincidence, also by the fact that she forgot to remember this one thing. Jordyn used to work here, so it's not really a surprise if she find her name here, Foo Fighters also being mentioned there. "Are you really okay? Because you looked shocked."
"Yes. I'm... totally okay. I just didn't know that you guys put me in a big show." She tries her best to looks excited while covering the fact that she is in shock. "I'll be fine Shelly. Don't worry."

The band just finished the whole album and they gathered there to hang out together when Taylor see a book on the top of Chris' bag. "Hey Chris." He calls him out when Chris is about grab his drink. "Yeah?"
"That's yours?"
"Uh uh. Why?"
"Nothing... Just I thought I saw that book before." Chris take the book and offer it to him. "Wanna try to read? I almost done, if you want to read just tell me." He smiles to him, sincerely offering the book to him but he refuse. "No. Thanks Chris. Not my type of book. Really."
"Oh, well. If you say so."

"Hey it's Jordyn! There's a meeting today, and I almost forget that! Damn it." Dave just got a call from his wife and so he tell everyone about it. "What? For the 'making of' show?" Nate goes out from the changing room and walks to where everyone sit at. "Yeah. That one. You guys better get ready fast. We're going to MTV."

"Yeah, basically, they promised us that we will have the chance to document the making of music video of their single. Thanks to Jordyn, they agree. We can't mess this one." One of the producer guy named Greg keep emphasize that thing which Sam really don't like. At all. Because it means the whole crew like owe the band, something. And since she is one of the crew, she has to be nice to Taylor either. "Any comments?" While they're discuss things, Sam just flipping her brief papers and doesn't really pay much attention. "What do you think Sam?"
"Uh, what?"
"You'll be at the back side of the band, making sure we don't miss anything."
"At the back? Umm..." She's thinking that 'back side' of the band is has to be Taylor's space. His area. "Sure. I can handle that."
"Good. Now, back to the single, we don't know the song nor the concept of the video yet... But, it doesn't mean we're not well planned. Like I said, Shelly will be near their video producer, while Sam focus on the band, from the back. It's gonna be behind the scene type of show, but we have to be sure we get the goofy kind of attitude from them. The joke. You know." Then he moves from positioning to the actual brief when suddenly Jordyn enter the room. "Hi Greg. Sorry I'm late."
"No, that's okay Jordyn. It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Yeah you too, how's the meeting? Have you..... Sam?" She's totally seeing her, even with Sam's attempt to not showing her face. "Hi. Jordyn."
"I didn't know you'll be here. Dave didn't say anything..."
"You know her?" Greg turns to both Sam and Jordyn. "Of course. I know her. Actually, Dave and the band know her as well."
"Really? You didn't say, Sam. That's great. It must be easier to do this episode then." She's cringing on that statement because it makes this episode even harder. "Yeah... Haha. I hope so." Jordyn take a seat right next to Sam, and she knows it means Jordyn will be asking about what is she doing here. Because she's pretty sure Jordyn doesn't know about her quitting her job, yet.

"So, Sam. What are you doing here? Were they asking you to come in behalf of them? Because Dave told me they'll be late."
"Umm.. about that... They weren't. I'm working here now."
"What? Here? What about the band?"
"I already told them. Days ago. Maybe Dave forgot to tell you."
"But why? You guys are great!"
"I'm just... Looking for a new opportunity. You know.."
"Oh, okay. Hope the best for you then." She smiles and then now focus on what Greg says to everyone. After a couple minutes, they hear a bunch of guys talking, walking outside the room, and then someone open the door. It's Dave, meanwhile the band members are all behind them.

"Oh, my, god, guys we're so sorry. We're late and I'm.... Hi Jordyn! Hi.... Wait, Sam?"
