Taylor quickly spotted Dave in the middle of the store. "Dave!"
"Hawkins! Come here!" They walk to him while Dave is busy picking the right clothes for himself. "I thought you have enough plain black shirt Dave." Sam giggles, seeing that Dave is actually going on between black t-shirt and another black t-shirt. "No shit Sam, but I like them." He pick those clothes but then realized where Taylor's arm at. "Wait a minute. Did I miss something?" Taylor's arm is Right there linger on Sam's waist with also a wide smile plastered on his face. "Like what?" Taylor laughing, teasing him. "You better tell me brother."
"We are a thing now. What else?"
"Oh shit. Damn!" Now it's Dave's turn to laughs. "Geez. Finally! Why takes so long?"
"What?" Sam is blushing, confused. "Come on. The time you joined us, I know this guy likes you a lot. You two just too idiot to realize." He grab both Taylor and Sam. "Come on. Let's eat something to celebrate. Bills on me."
"But where's the others?"
"They're already waiting for us at restaurant. They're gonna die starving in 5 minutes if we don't get there."
They go inside a Mexican restaurant, finally see where Nate and Chris is. They looked dying to eat food in front of them but they know they have to wait for everyone. When they look up and see Dave along with Taylor and Sam, their eyes light up ridiculously. "Holy mother. Finally we allowed to eat." Chris looks the Nate who's almost fall asleep waiting for everyone. "Sorry makes you guys waiting." Dave takes a seat. "Don't worry. Bills all on me."
"Are you joking?" Nate smiles, expecting Dave to troll them all. "No I'm not. We're celebrating."
"Celebrate what?"
"Can't you see these 2 lovebirds finally together? Look at him! Look how close they are!" Dave can't stop speaking even with beer in his mouth."
"You guys are dating now?" Nate's jaw is dropped with a wide smile bowing. "Well, technically this morning so..." Chris almost spill his food for laughing. "It must be it... The sex. Did you two do it in our room?"
"Noooo. Of course not. Don't worry about that, your bed is clean and safe." Taylor is joking, make fun of Chris' disgusted face. "Taylor booked another room at the same floor so.." Sam says quietly with her cheeks still cherry red.
"Wow... Okay. How is it?" Dave smirks, knowing that the two seems shy. "Are we going to eat? I suppose?" Sam cut it off, smiling, and take her food so she can avoid the question. Taylor mouths that's great to his band mates while Sam isn't looking. "Well. Bon appetit fellas." As they're eating their foods
After done eating, they decided to go back to hotel. With a little shopping on their way back, both Taylor and Sam have clothes for their staying. "Guys, umm.. I think I will get my stuff from your room." Taylor says as they enter their room. "Really? So soon? Guess there will be a spot empty then." Dave joking, guessing that Taylor and Sam will go to their very own room. "Yeah..you know.. since we are...."
"Dating. I know." Chris smirks and then take a sip from the soda can that he purchased earlier. "Right." Taylor had giggles, looking at Sam who's blushing the whole time. He then get all of this stuff and put it in his bag before grab Sam's hand and waves to everyone.
"Don't spend too much time in your room fellas. You'll get tired.. .. you know what I mean." Dave slap a little bit of Taylor's back and then close the door right after. "What do you think they're gonna do all day?" Dave laughs so hard, and mocking the fact that Taylor and Sam are dating now.
"So.. what we're gonna do today?" Taylor put his hands on both side of her waist as he plants a kiss towards the crooked of her neck. "Um...what about... A little quick session and then watch a nearby gig?"
"What gig?"
"I don't know.. just looking at bars nearby and enjoy the live music."
"Okay... I'll give you a pass. A quickie? Let's do it."
••••••
"Hey Taylor! What are you doing here?" The moment they step into the bar, he meet an old friend from his childhood. "Cassey! Geez. I'm just hanging out here with.."
"Your girlfriend?" Cassey seems like notices the presence of Sam behind Taylor. It makes her blushing. "What's your name sweet lady?"
"Samantha Smith. Nice to see you."
"I'm Cassey, nice to see you too." Both Taylor and Sam then take a seat on Cassey's table.
"Hey Cassey, me and Sam will stay here to enjoy the gig. Who's playing?"
"Range Box or something, I don't know, I think they're new. Never heard of their band before." He then take a sip of his own drink. Taylor looks to Sam, "I hope they're good. Because you're the one who dragged me here." He smirks and then Sam pinch his arm. "Ouch! What?"
"Don't be so mean. Give them a chance. They might be good. Who knows?"
"Yeah. Alright, alright.. Anyway... How about the next month's trip that we're talking about? Chad agree to come?"
"Oh, about it.. I think he can't make it. I called him and he said their band is busy about this whole double album thing. The release will be exactly next month."
"Oh really? But I thought they will do it on separate times?"
"That was the plan, but it seems like they don't wanna wait for all the songs to he heard." Taylor giggles and then bite his lips, making Sam confused. "What's so funny?"
"Nothing just... Is they trying to compete us or something?" Sam goes to roll her eyes. "You have a little too much confidence in your finger tips Hawkins."
"Sorry, haha. It's just funny to think about."
"Whatever. The point is, they already made songs that enough to make 3 albums, and they're extremely excited to release it. So they make it into double album. And for a record, I already heard a little of their materials. And I'm pretty sure it's gonna be massive."
"You think? Hmm. Alright I need a copy of it. Soon."
"Don't worry. I'll tell Chad to sign it for you." Taylor laughs as she said it in a victorious tone. "Well, I guess we shouldn't have a trip next month, you should attend their release party."
"Right, would you come with us?"
"Well, if you ask me, and convince me... I will." Sam smirks and then says it on his ear. "I know what you mean by the words convince you. And I know what to do." Taylor smirks, knowing that she's teasing him in a way that he really likes.
Not long after that, the band comes in, looking at the audience and take the mic. "Hi, I'm Patricia from Range Box. I play bass and sing, this is Mathias on drums, and my brother Patrick on guitar. We're gonna play for the next hour, hope you enjoy it." Taylor doesn't seem to pay attention to the band while Sam is pretty much excited to hear them playing. "I'm gonna out for a minute, stay here." Taylor reach for his cigarette and lighter before goes out from the bar. So she turns to Cassey and have a talk. "Cassey, you know Taylor since you guys were kids, right?"
"Yeah, that boy and I were little rascals back then. Why?"
"Umm.. I really want this relationship to works, so... Can you tell me like things that I should avoid? Things that he doesn't like?" He giggles. "To be honest, you don't have to be worry about anything. Just don't be possessive, and he loves adventure with his bike."
"Really? There is no food... Or things that I should not give him?"
"No... Trust me. I know you're definitely perfect for him. I know his type and you're the closest to it." Sam is blushing. Still insecure, but flattered. "Should I like.. more feminine, or..."
"Don't. No need to change. I'm sure he choose you for a reason." It's comforting to hear that from Taylor's childhood friend. She never meet his friends outside the band so it's kinda refreshing to meet one. Cassey and Sam ended up talking about lot of things including the band that's playing now and how good they are on what they are doing.
"The next song will be the kinda different. Honestly it's not our song. But we think it's a good idea to play it. It's called Cold Day In The Sun." Patricia says it loudly as Taylor re-enter the bar. Confused, he looks at the band which the band is already starring at him. "We are big fans of Foo Fighters, and as you guys know, Taylor Hawkins is here. We'd like to invite him onstage. To play with us." All of them now turn their eyes on him, waiting for a response. But the only person he looks at is Sam. "I don't know what to say.." Sam rolls her eyes and then shout to him from her chair. "They're fucking good, you should play with them!" The crowds going nuts and cheering for Sam and so he looks back at the band.
"Alright. Let's do it."
