*2 weeks later*

Today, I would officially become the Luna of Dark Night.

I knew this moment would happen ever since Demitri said I was his mate.  Yet, it still came as a shock to me.  I'm thankful it's finally happening, all the same.

The Luna ceremony is equivalent to a human wedding, minus the expensive blowout.  It's an intimate ceremony, with the pack being the only witness.  However, because we've been on such good terms with Blood Moon since the battle, they're coming as well.  After all, what's a ceremony without your family in attendance?

When I wake up, Demitri is nowhere to be found.

I should be used to his vanishing act by now, but since we found out the big news, he vowed to never leave my side ever again.

A knock at the door captures my attention.

"Come in."  I call, my morning voice croaky.

The door opens wide, and in walks Freya.  She carries a large bundle in her arms, and I eye it questioningly.

"It's your dress for the ceremony."  She explains, laying it delicately at the foot of the bed.

"Oh, right."  I say, feeling the nerves come back to bite at me.

She laughs, the musical sound echoing through the room.

"Don't be nervous!  You're going to look stunning, the food will be delicious, and everyone will have such a blast!"  She gushes, those brown orbs filled with orange sparkles.  She comes over to Demitri's side and plops down on the bed.

"Soooo, how's little Dara doing?"  She asks, poking my still flat stomach.

I swat her hand away good-naturedly, but she persists.

"Dara?"  I ask in confusion.

"Yes, Dara!  It's your ship name!"  She says, eyeing me curiously.

"I feel like I'm missing something."  I inform her in a flat tone.

She groans dramatically, her eyes rolling up to the ceiling.

"Oh come on!  It's like, your couple name.  Demitri + Ara = Dara."  She explains as though it's obvious.

"Um, okay."  I answer.

She shakes her head and mumbles something under her breath.

I think I catch, "For someone so smart...sure can't spot a genius..."

"Anyways!"  She claps, brightening immediately, "We've got to get you up!  It's time to start getting ready!"

"Getting ready?  It's barely eight in the morning!"  I exclaim.

She levels me with another flat look.

"Don't you know how long getting ready takes?"  She asks, wide-eyed at my apparent stupidity.

"No..."  I hesitate, worried about what she has in store.

She lets out a huff, and I know it's going to be a long day.

"First you need breakfast, then a long bath with scented lavender to calm you down, after that you have to select a hairstyle, then comes lunch, next are your nails and toenails, then you try on your dress, we have it sized again - cause you know, you're growing! - next comes another bath to wash up, then dinner, and next we start your hair, then makeup, touch up your nails, then you put on your dress, a few pictures next, and finally the event!"  She rambles.
