Leigh searched the beach all day and late into the night. He scoured over every inch of that coast at least three times, leaving no stone unturned. He even searched caves and spoke to strangers in search for his older sister. However, eventually exhaustion took over, and so with no luck, he sought shelter in a dilapidated shed that Kaden showed him several years ago.
He looked at their pallet that they shared so many times before and willed her to be okay. Instinctively he laid in his usual spot and reached for his amulet, only to find it not there. His eyes stung with tears, he'd never been alone here before. Always with Kaden. She was always there to keep him company. He was never lonely as long as she was there, and she was always there, looking out for him.
"Be safe, Fae. I'll find you if you don't find me," He whispered, "I promise."

The moonlight shone brightly inside the cavern where Kaden awoke. She found the light comforting, and used it to observe her surroundings. From where she was laying on the ground she began to notice lights that were not the soft, comforting white moonlight. The very walls of the cavern glowed with symbols and drawings that appeared in greens, blues, reds, purples, and golds. They were ever changing, following no pattern that Kaden could recognize.
She decided to sit up, but quickly reconsidered as an almost tear jerking pain tore down from her jawline to her elbow. However, a noise echoing through the cavern towards her deterred her from investigating.
"There is no use in hiding, young one." Spoke a voice that would mark the beginning of the end of Kaden's life as she knew it.
