Chapter 04 - My car and Lorie's closet

The rest of the classes went without surprises. I have only classes in the mornings, and, in the afternoons, I work with Nicolae at his office at the manor. As I'm not attending the full course, only catching up on some subjects, Nicolae managed to optimize my schedule and enrolled me only in morning courses.

The last class finally finished, and I go walking back home. The only time I think I would have to do some exercise in my tight agenda, apart from the sports classes at the university, that I'm wondering why Nicolae has enrolled me in... It's not mandatory, and I'm not so in need of adding extra credits... Or maybe he thought I would like, as I competed for my college in Figure Skating a long time ago winning some medals to my university. But I don't skate anymore for many years! I'm not even sure if I'm still able to do all those movements, jumpings, and spinnings.

Arriving at the manor, I go straight upstairs to take a long warm shower to relax after this hectic day. I let the water go through my body, and I recap everything that happened during the day.

"Sebastian was flirting with me, I'm sure! He has a magnetic dangerous wild aura that exerts influence over me... Why am I feeling so attracted to him? And it isn't only because he's a hunk... There is something more..."

I get the soap and rub it against the bath sponge while I'm thinking and analyzing today's events. Then, I slip the sponge through my body.

"And also Loan was flirting with me, but he seems used to do this with all newcomers. In general, I don't like behaviors like his and I don't give a shit to men like him. I never thought I would be kissing him even he's very handsome and charming! But I don't regret it: the kiss was delicious, he's hot, and the end justifies the means... right?"

I let the water removes the foam from my body while I let out a long sigh.

"Samantha... Ah, girl! You got what you deserved! I hope you leave me alone for the rest of the year!"

I close the water, grab a towel, and wrap it around me.

"The odd conversation about the Bartholy brothers with Sarah and Loan... What do they really know? It really intrigues me."

I'm drying myself while I think back of Sebastian.

"Is he so attracted to me as I'm to him?"

I noticed that all the times his gaze falls on me, he glows and his fierce amber eyes study me. Although he has a nonchalant air during his class, he looks at me almost the entire hour. And I'm quite sure I'm not imagining things...

I'm not a girl of fantasying about love, romance, prince charming, and fairy tales. I'm very realistic. To tell the truth, I'm almost pessimistic regarding men and women relationships.

After my long and relaxing shower, I decided to wear a plain black knee-length social dress with a high neckline.

I head straight to the dining room. I'm starving after this hectic day full of surprises! The table, as before, is set to feed an entire army or two, although it's only Nicolae and me at this time at the manor. Drogo and Peter are attending the full course, and they'll be at home only later on. Nicolae smiles broadly when he sees me.

Nicolae: Come, Khawla, have a seat. I was waiting for you.

I nod and sit in the chair in front of him. My mouth is watering in seeing so many delicious things. I have to take care of my figure, or I'll put on some weigh! And this is because I'm not greedy in general. While I'm choosing what to eat, Nicolae starts a casual conversation.

Nicolae: How was your first day at college?

I look at him, not sure how to answer. I raise an eyebrow while thinking about how to put the things on the table.
