I go down half amphitheater until next to where Sebastian and his groupies are. Although I'm at a certain distance, leaning against the first-row desk, I'm able to listen to their conversation on the platform.
One of the girls, the most beautiful among them, with a shoulder-length light-blond hair, and a pair of green-emerald shining eyes, and with a body that drives all the male students around crazy, asks a question almost in a seductive way, with a melodic voice that resembles of a siren trying to lure sailors to death.
No, she isn't a magical creature or a human being with special gifts; she is only a bitch on heat, and I want to jump on her jugular and empty her of her blood, and I'm not even a bloodthirsty creature to do so.
"Pity!"
Groupie: Professor Jones, is it true that vampires can rape their victims?
Her green-emerald eyes sparkle with some excitement, eagerly waiting for the answer.
"Is she fantasizing with a seductive and sexy vampire, like Drogo, Peter, Nicolae, or even Viktor, taking her with some fight?"
I raise an enquiring eyebrow in knowing her kinky fantasy, mainly because Professor Jones has already explained, in one of his previous classes, that the nature of vampires is to seduce and make their victims surrender to their wickedest desires.
Sebastian moves his teasing fierce amber eyes from me, and a glimpse of torment and guilty pops up in them. His nonchalant posture vanishes immediately. He seems disturbed. However, his voice is still firm and neutral, not showing that he is shaken somehow.
Sebastian: No. Vampires use their seductive abilities to make their victim surrenders and wishes for the sexual act. Contrary to the other bestial creatures... like werewolves.
The groupies around him want to make more dumb questions, but Sebastian interrupts them, shaking his hand in the air. Then, he grabs his material from the table to leave the amphitheater.
Sebastian: It's enough for today. I have to go.
And he leaves the classroom in a blink of an eye, without looking back like he was in a rush.
I'm disturbed by Sebastian's behavior. We always talk after his classes, and I was waiting for him, as I always do. I stay there, leaning against the front row desk, while the groupies also leave the amphitheater, whining.
I ponder for a while about his answer's last words, which has displayed a deeply hidden pain.
"Like werewolves... Hmm..."
I immediately remember Lorie's nasty riddles about the red moon phenomena, and all the dialogue comes back to my mind.
"Khawla, you know that werewolves aren't trustworthy, don't you? They're bloodthirsty creatures... We can control ourselves. Werewolves can't... When the moon is red, their murderer instincts are at its highest peak. Werewolves will kill whosoever is beside them... In the red moon, werewolves are even more aroused, and they don't give any option to their prey before killing it..."
Also, Sebastian's words, on the day I found out he is a werewolf and that he has ditched me, before surrendering to our love, comes back to me.
"I'm a monster... and an assassin... What do you know about werewolves, Khawla? And what do you know about my past?"
I shiver under these memories. I know Sebastian has a black spot in his past that haunts him. However, I can't believe it would be a rape, as a no from a woman is sacred to him, and he stops with his advances straight away. Contrary to the majority of the men, that don't accept a no as an answer and keep trying to push a little further in a try to convince the women to change their minds and fulfill their lust.
