I go to take a shower while Sebastian goes to the kitchen to prepare our breakfast. I love the way he pampers me, but it isn't the most appropriated moment to move to his. We're together for very little, and I don't want to put his career as a Professor at risk. Although our case is different for many reasons, he's still my teacher, and I'm still his student... And I don't think the Board of Directors would see it with good eyes.

I finish my shower, and I go to the kitchen counter. There's only one plate this morning, and it's my plate that he prepared with healthy options to make me stronger and recover fast: two hard boiled eggs, cucumber tomato salad with feta cheese, and a glass of avocado juice. I raise an enquiring eyebrow.

Khawla: Aren't you having breakfast?

Sebastian kisses my forehead while stroking my head.

Sebastian: Not now. I go jogging. When I'm back, I'll have mine.

Well, I won't complain that I'll eat my breakfast alone today, because the excuse of keeping his well-sculptured body in shape is a really great excuse indeed. Sebastian goes to his morning running, and I take this time to text Sarah, mainly because there's a message of her from yesterday night.

[Good evening, Khawla! How are you? Prof. Jones told me that you were sick. Send me news!]

[Good morning, Sarah! I'm feeling much better today! Sebastian is taking good care of me!]

I giggle. I know her very well, and I'm sure she'll make a naughty remark.

[I thought he was keeping you hostage because you don't want to move to his.]

I let out an annoyed sigh. I didn't inform him yet about my decision, and this is one of the reasons for my emotional breakdown.

[He doesn't know yet.]

[Did you change your mind?]

[Sarah, I don't want to talk about it now. I want to know what time we'll meet at the Sorority.]

[After 14:00. See you there?]

[Yes. I'll be there. Bye.]

I finish my breakfast, take my vitamins, skip the sleeping pill, and I go to the sofa to watch something on the TV. But I decided to go to Sebastian's desk to read his notes instead. I want to know what he's searching, although I have a clue from the brief chit-chat I read between him and Igor Bolshoyev.

I pass my eyes on them. It's all related to vampires procreation and the relationship between vampires and humans and other supernatural creatures.

"Why is he so obsessed about this? What was Sebastian's question to Viktor?"

I'm very intrigued and curious to know what's about. I'm so focused reading his notes and which pages of the books are marked that I don't listen to Sebastian entering back home after his matinal jogging, and he isn't happy in seeing me spying on him. He clears his throat, and I turn to look at a crossed armed, closed expression, and sweat man just behind me. I gulp. Yeah, I was caught red-handed. His tone of voice is icy cold as winter winds that makes me shudder.

Sebastian: What are you doing, Khawla? I thought you would be sleeping.

I'm not able to answer him. Indeed, I didn't take the pill, as I don't feel like sleeping because I'm feeling much better today.

I stay there, unmovable, rooted to the ground staring at him with my eyes wide open.

"Oh-oh! Girl, you're in trouble!"
