"Isn't this so cute?" You asked to both your companions as you raised a coffee mug with 'I Drink Coffee For Your Own Protection' printed on it.

Max stepped closer to you to take a look at it and pulled it out of your hands, "I don't know why girls like these kinds of things."

You scoffed, "Oh, please, you can't tell me nothing in Typo looks adorable to you."

"Things like this only looks cute to girls." Max rolled his eyes, shaking his head when you raised a notebook with a pretty cover.

"You realize that you could get a notebook for way cheaper at target, right?"

"Yes, but they're not as cute." "You know, these don't really seem cute to me, for the 3rd time."

You scoffed again, "I'm sure you're just saying that because you want to seem manly," You turned to him with a small smirk, "If you find them cute, I won't tell anyone."

Max rolled his eyes and kept his hands tucked in his pockets as he followed you around the store as you picked up notebooks and show-pieces and kept them back.

"Are you going to buy anything?"

You shook your head at him, "You don't buy anything from Typo for yourself, my stupid friend. Typo is mostly for buying things for your friends, unless your rich."

"Then why are we wasting our time here!"

"Because these things are cute!"

"They're really not!"

You rolled your eyes for what felt like the umpteenth time, "Then what do you find cute?"

"Definitely not stationary." You ignored him and continued browsing when suddenly Max grabbed your wrist and tugged you out of the store.

"Wha-Hey! Where the heck are we going?!"

"We spent the last half hour in typo, so now we're going to do something that I want to do."

Sighing, you relented to his grip as he dragged you to the arcade.

"Oh, wonderful, I feel as though I'm losing a couple of brain cells already." You said sarcastically as Max stopped by the machine that gives you change in exchange of bills.

"Isn't it a bit loud in here?" You asked, covering your ears.

"Better than a girly store where Ed Sheeran is playing on repeat." Max replied though you couldn't hear him. He pulled you by your elbow to a game labelled 'The House of The Dead'.

Max quickly put in a quarter and picked up the plastic gun and you stood beside the machine, peeking at the screen.

He selected his character and pressed play when a Zombie flashed on the screen, surprising you.

"Oh, shit!" You yelped and jumped away from the machine.

Max laughed and went back to blasting the Zombies while you watched from a safe distance, right behind Max so you could hide in case a particularly scary one comes on the screen.

After Max finished, he pushed another coin into the slot and held out the gun for you, "Alright, your turn."

"Me?" You asked pointing to yourself as if he could mean anyone else. Max nodded and selected your character and you scoffed, 'Of course the only female character would look so voluptuous.'

"Max, I don't really want to-" Max pressed the start button and you nearly cursed at the Zombie that jumped out of nowhere.

You began shooting the Zombies and hit very few of them, which was alarming since they were surrounding you.

You jumped when your character suddenly turned around and was faced by another Zombie, 'Why are the graphics so good? It's going to give me nightmares.' You thought miserably as you continued shooting, trying to avoid looking into their eyes.

To say you were surprised when arms wrapped around your waist and put a hand over yours to help you shoot the Zombie was an understatement. Heating flooding your cheeks, you took shallow breaths as Max rested his chin on your shoulder.

"Don't misunderstand anything. I just don't want my cash to go to waste." He whispered in your ear, sending chills down your spine as you felt his warm breath on your neck.

'This is a long way to go for a quarter.'

You weren't even paying attention to the game, but you were convinced that even if you tried you wouldn't be able to. Max's grip tightened slightly as he began rapidly shooting Zombies that appeared.

"You know, the answer to your previous question is you struggling with this game."

Your cheeks colored a deep red, 'Did he just flirt with me?'

In the end, he ended up with a score higher than before, which was surprising since the first half of the game was spent by you, who apparently stinks at arcade games.

Max paused for a second, breathing on your neck lightly and enjoying the way your hairs stood up. He brought the hand holding the gun by your side and blew lightly, chuckling when you squirmed.

"So, another game?" He whispered, and you jumped, pushing his arms off you. You took a few deep breaths and pressed your cold hands to your burning face.

"H-How about some air hockey?"

Max smirked, "Sure, I'm going to beat you though."

His cocky attitude made you huff and you walked over to the table, "You wish."

.

"I'll beat you next time." Max said as you did a little victory dance.

"That's what you said the last 7 times, you're out of quarters now and I'm getting tired of winning." You smirked.

'I wouldn't mind losing a few more times if she danced like that.'

"Let's just go home, I'm getting bored."

Max nodded and the both of you left the arcade.

'Yesterday did not happen!' You miserably convinced yourself, sitting in homeroom.

You stared down at the text message with a horrified look on your face.

Adam: Sorry I left without telling you, you and Max looked a bit too interested in the conversation and I didn't want to interrupt.

You moaned in agony, when did he even leave?

Burying your face in your hands, you tried to forget everything that happened yesterday. Max seemed to have the same idea since he had been ignoring you, not even stopping by to make a snarky comment about how you needed more beauty sleep but that wouldn't help.

You thought back to Max's hands wrapping around you and your red face and shortened breaths.

'I'm just allergic to him. Yep, allergic. I'm definitely not falling for Phoebe's stupid brother.' You felt butterflies explode in your stomach as you remembered his warm breath on your skin.

"Oh, shit."
