After feeding her dinner that night Suga came upstairs looking angry and shaken, without his shirt on. I decided then that it would be a good idea to check on the girl and see what he had done. I hoped my plan had worked at least a little.I was pleasantly surprised, even though my goal hadn't been fulfilled just yet. The girl was still bound to the chair, and by the looks of it hadn't been unbound to be fed considering the food was still sitting in front of her, cold, and the tv beside the cot was on. The chanel was still set on the news, with her family crying over her disappearance. It appeared Suga had taken a page from my book, figurative of course.
Minji was sobbing loudly with her hair hanging in her face, choking on her own tears. She didn't seem to notice when I entered the room until I spoke.
"Don't cry princess, it's not a good look." I said, a laugh just beneath the surface of my voice, "what did he do to you?"
"N-nothing, but m-my family" she stuttered through her sobs. It was hilarious, but sadly I achieved no pleasure from watching her in pain. She was boring even then, and I had no interest in her. I wanted her gone as soon as possible- no, I needed it.
Laughing, I made my way upstairs, satisfied and ready to go to bed. When I arrived on the main floor Suga was sitting on the couch watching the news and I passed him swiftly as I made my way to the bedroom.
I waited until I heard the boy enter his own room before I finally closed my eyes, reminding myself to ask him the next day what had happened with Minji. I knew fully well that I climbed in bed with the boy each night. It was an unchecked childhood habit, and I resented it, but that didn't mean I was going to stop. The comfort of having someone beside me helped me sleep even if it was childish. It reminded me of Hwayoung.
That night I felt the Suga move closer to me in the bed than usual, his desire for attention coming through even in sleep. I was a light sleeper and felt every movement even while unconscious, and I was surprised at the motion; it nearly caused me to be jarred awake many times.
When I did fully wake up a few hours later I noticed that Suga was closer than I had originally thought, nearly touching my back with his arms that were pulled close to his chest, which just proved to me that my plan was in fact working as expected. I smiled to myself as I got up from the bed and watched him reach his hands out towards where I had been laying. He pulled the pillow I had been using towards himself absentmindedly and rolled over in his place, turning his back to me.
I quietly made my way to the washroom and then back to my own bed to get a few more precious hours of sleep before I would have to get out of bed and ready myself for work. As I layed back down I thought excitedly to myself about what the following two days may bring.
It ended up being far better than I expected.
