Chapter 27 - Hide and seek

Kanan, kaliwa. Clear.

I absolutely look like a fool right now. And ibang estudyante nga pinagtitinginan na ako pero sanay na naman ako sa mga ganyang tingin. Wala na akong pakialam kung magmukha pa akong baliw.

I took another step backward when I bumped into something, I mean someone.

"Anong ginagawa mo?" Drew looked at the surrounding at tila hinahanap ang pinagtataguan ko ngunit tumingin din sa akin nang wala itong makita. He took another sip in his drinks and stared at me while waiting for my answer.

"Wala, wala naman." I tried to act cool at akmang aalis na when he stated a name.

"Xander" I stiffened. What the hell will I do? I panicked and tried to look for some place to hide. I was about to run when Drew grabbed my vest which stopped me.

"Xander.... is not around." Nakakalokong bulong nito at sinundan ng halakhak. What the hell is wrong with this guy? Tiningnan ko lang sya ng masama habang inaayos ang damit ko.

"Bakit mo ba pinagtataguan si Xander? Kanina hinahanap ka nya ah, hindi ka pumasok ng mga naunang klase." Bakit nga ba ako nagtatago sa kanya? Dahil tama sya? Dahil sa naging huli naming pag-uusap? I don't know, I just feel like I am wrong. And I don't have the confidence to look at him o salubungin man ang mga titig nya. That's one reason why I cut class and the main reason is because of Ivan. He always requests me to accompany him.

"Ako? Hinahanap nya?" I said in full of sarcasm.

Drew took a deep breath and face me again. "Of course...not. Kelan na ba umamin ang taong yun sa tunay nyang nararamdaman? At kelan na ba sya naghanap ng nawawala. He's a man who'll find the answer on his own. Para tuloy kayong mga bata na nagtataguan dyan." He said and messed my hair before leaving me thinking about what he said. He's right. Xander is that type of man and it was too late before I realized that. Never naman akong nagduda sa kanya it's just that I really hate what he did last time kaya ko lang naman nasabi ang mga bagay na iyon. And now I really wanna punish this big mouth of mine.

"Hey"

"Ay Kabayo!" Napahawak ako sa gitla ng may tumapik sa akin sa balikat.

"Do I look like a horse to you?" This man with mysterious smile asked.

"Yes..I mean NO! Nagulat lang talaga ako." I forced to smile back. What does this man need this time? After naming magkakilala last week lagi na lang syang nakadikit sa akin. Some think na he's my boyfriend but hell no!! Sa lahat ng pwedeng maging boyfriend not this one. He's just playing with me and so am I. This creepy man may lead me to those bomberman or sa mga nagpapadala ng metal balls na yan. Hindi ko pwedeng iisang tabi ang possibility na suspects sya lalo na sa mga nalaman ko.

"Hmmm..can you go with me? Kunin ko lang car ko tas tagpuin nalng kita sa may gate ok?" He asked at iniwan nalang ako basta without even waiting for my response. Ano pa nga ba ang magagawa ko? Hindi ko pwedeng pakawalan ang taong yun.

Tulad ng nasabi ay nag-intay nga ako sa may gate. Feeling ko babagsak ako sa mga subjects hindi dahil wala akong masagot sa exam kung hindi dahil sa absences.

It didn't took minutes bago sya nakarating sa may gate. He wasn't also that gentleman para bumaba at ipagbukas ako ng sasakyan. But even before I could hop in his car someone forcefully grabbed me at ipinasok ako sa loob ng isa pang sasakyan. I can't even shout because of this hand covering my mouth. All I could see is the blank expression from Ivan. Hindi din mababakas ang pag-aalala man lang o ang pagtataka instead I was the one shocked with the smirk of contentment in his face before the door closed.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" I asked and all of them stiffened and stop for a moment pero nanumbalik naman ulit ang saya sa mukha nila.

"Bakit? Naabala ba naming ang date nyo?" Trevor quoted that word date in the air. Drew is in the driver's seat and Drei is in the passenger seat habang andito at katabi ko sa backseat sina Bryan at Trevor. This is another different car dahil hindi naman nagpapasakay si Drew kung yun yung isa nyang sasakyan and I don't even know why. I wasn't shocked that Xander's not here. Hindi naman kasi sya sumasakay ng kotse or van because of that car accident.
