Stressed

You've been stressed out the past few weeks because of all the assignments and tests for the end of the school year are all piling on you, and you've become so overwhelmed.

You had spent the whole day studying at yours and Joe's shared flat. You were sitting in the living room, on the floor with all of your books and assignments spread out around you. You were so focused on the work in front of you, that you didn't hear your boyfriend come into the room.

"Babe?" you heard Joe say softly. You look up at the doorway, and see him propped against the door, giving you a small smile.

You gave him a quick smile and then went back to work. You heard Joe let out a sigh, and you heard his shuffling footsteps head over to the sofa. You knew that he was just going to watch you study, but you were too focused on the assignments to care.

After about 10 more minutes of you stressing over the papers sprawled out on the floor, you threw the papers that were in your hands across the room and let out a frustrated grunt. You heard Joe chuckle behind you, so you turned your head to give him a death glare.

"What's so funny back there?" you asked, annoyed.

"Babe, you've been studying all day. You're stressing out too much. And what's funny is that you're cute when you're frustrated." Joe smirked at you.

You rolled your eyes, and folded your arms across your chest. You heard Joe get up, and you felt a body scoot closer to your back, and you felt a pair of arms snake around your waist. You leaned your head back against his chest, and he pulled you closer to him.

"Y/N," he whispered in your ear, "Let's take a break and go cuddle, yeah? You need to rest."

You nodded, and were lifted to your feet. You both walked to your shared bedroom, and climbed into the bed. You cuddled up to Joe, as he placed one arm under you, and the free arm stroked your hair.

He began tracing patterns onto your back to help you relax and rest. Soon, your eyes were becoming very heavy, and you were drifting off to sleep.

Before you were completely asleep, you felt a light kiss on your head, and a whisper from Joe saying, "You're going to do great on everything. I'm so proud of you and I love you so much baby. Get some rest and I'll be here when you wake up."

And with that, you were sound asleep.
