FaceTime Mishap

You were at the apartment that you shared with your boyfriend, Joe. He was off on holiday with the lads for the next two weeks, leaving you home by yourself.

You didn't have school that day, so you decided to have a relaxing day and just stay at home. But, you were so bored! You had watched television for a few hours and you had gotten tired of doing that. You tried inviting some of your girl friends over for a girls' day, but all of them were busy with work or their own boyfriends.

You even tried to call Zoe, but she had meetings all day, but assured you she would be available after dinner. So you had to sit there and wait until her meetings were through, and then planned to go over to her place.

After a while, you decided to FaceTime Joe, even though you knew he wouldn't answer. You figured he would be at the beach, or driving on some dune-buggy through the sand. 

As you watched the screen, you were looking at yourself in the phone. You were checking your nose for boogers when the ringing stopped and Joe's face popped up on the screen.

You screamed and dropped the phone. While the phone was on the floor, you could hear Joe's laugh coming out of it.

You picked up the phone to see him wiping away tears from laughing so hard.

"Babe, what were you doing with your nose in the camera?" he asked.

You hesitated, then replied, "I was checking to see if I had any bats in the cave."

He then proceeded to laugh and tell the other lads about what you were doing.

"Joe!" you yelled, "Don't tell them that! It's embarrassing!" You felt your face turning red from embarrassment.

"I'm sorry babe." he said chuckling.

"I honestly didn't expect you to answer. I was just so bored and had nothing to do. Plus, I miss you." you told him.

"I miss you too babe," he said, and you could hear the other boys saying "Awww" in the background. you laughed a little to yourself as you watched Joe tell them to be quiet.

"Why did you answer anyway?" you asked.

"We actually just came back to the place that we are staying after being at the beach for the past few hours. You called at the right time." he said, grinning.

"So, we get to talk for a bit, right?" you asked, hoping the answer would be yes.

"Of course, babe." Joe replied, "We will be heading out in a couple hours to go to dinner, but I always have time to talk to you."

You blushed and smiled back at the phone. You then spent the next hour and a half talking with Joe, listening to all of his stories about what him and the boys were getting up to.

You missed him, and the days will go by slow, but you will FaceTime Joe everyday to catch up on what you're missing.
