Ferris Wheel Fate

One day, you and your best friend (Y/BF/N) were just hanging around the apartment, having a girls' day with Disney movies and tons of ice cream. You and (Y/BF/N) had begun to get tired of sitting around, so you decided to see what y'all could do for fun. You go online and see that the fair is in town.

"(Y/BF/N) look! The fair is in town. We should totally go!' you exclaim. She was a little hesitant at first. She says, "I don't know (Y/N). We don't have dates and it is no fun when there isn't anyone to win you a stuffed bear from one of the games!"

"Oh, come on!" you exclaim, "It will be fun! I'll win you a stuffed bear if that's what it takes to get you to go! Besides, you may meet the love of your life there." You both chuckle at the thought of meeting any cute guys at the fair. However, she gave in and agreed to go with you to the fair.

You both decided to change into something more cute than the pajamas y'all were wearing. You decided to put on a pair of blue jean shorts, a nice tank top, and paired them with some sandals and a dainty necklace. You threw your hair up into a messy bun and went to meet (Y/BF/N) at the car. Then the both of you were on your way to the fair.

The fair was about twenty minutes from your apartment, so the ride wasn't too bad. You were playing YouTube videos to pass the time. You put on ThatcherJoe videos, since you both thought that Joe Sugg was hilarious! You never told your best friend that you had a massive crush on him, because you thought that she would make fun of you for it. So you kept quiet about it, and continued to laugh at his videos throughout the drive.

After the twenty minutes were up, you both stepped out of the car and walked to the entrance of the fair grounds. You squealed as you looked around at all the games and rides. You then stopped and saw what you wanted to do first.

"Let's go on the Ferris Wheel!" you squealed. (Y/BF/N) and you both walked to the Ferris Wheel and stood in line. As you got closer to the ride, you could hardly contain your excitement. You had always loved the Ferris Wheel, because you could see everything and felt on top of the world.

Once you and (B/F/F/N) got to the front, you both realized that there was only one open seat left. You told her that you really wanted to ride, but didn't want to leave her alone. She told you that you should go ahead and get on, and that she will wait until it stops again to get on. You thanked her for letting you go and you headed to the open seat. That's when you saw him.

Blue eyes. Dirty blonde hair. It was Joe Sugg. THE Joe Sugg from the ThatcherJoe channel. You didn't know what to do, so you tried to keep your cool. You sat down next to him, and the attendant lowered the bar and made sure it was secure. Then, the Ferris Wheel started to move.

You went around one time without saying a word. You were too nervous and didn't want to come off as a crazy fangirl, even though that is how you felt on the inside. This was not how you wanted this night to go. You couldn't even enjoy the ride.

You were going around the second time and reached the top when, all of a sudden, the Ferris Wheel stopped. You looked down to see the maintenance running around and telling all the people on the ride to stay calm. You were stuck at the top of the Ferris Wheel!

You were now more nervous than ever, because you were up there with Joe Sugg and hadn't even said one word to him, let alone look at him. After a second of comprehending the situation, you turn your head to find him staring at you.

You were taken off guard and made the seat rock a bit. You screamed and you heard his cute chuckle erupt from his direction. He quickly stopped when he saw how flustered you had become. "Sorry for scaring you like that." he said in his British accent. "I was just watching how focused you were throughout the ride and just couldn't keep my eyes off you."

Now you definitely didn't know what to do. This well known, and very attractive guy had been staring at you and all you could think of is how crazy he must think you are.

"I'm Joe, by the way. Joe Sugg." he said.

"I'm (Y/N). Nice to meet you." you replied. You had no idea why you had suddenly become calm, but you decided to play it cool so you wouldn't freak Joe out.

"So...you like Ferris Wheels?" you asked. Great, you thought, I sound like an idiot.

He chuckled. "You know, I normally don't like this ride, but today is different." Then he said, "I would guess that you love them by how focused you were during the entire ride." He chuckled again.

You began to blush. "This is my favorite ride." you said sheepishly.

"Really? Why is that?" Joe asked, genuinely intrigued.

You felt very comfortable talking to him, so you decided to tell him. "I like the feeling of being on top of the world. I like looking at all the places I can see from the top and how small the world seems. It's stupid, I know."

"It's not stupid." he replied. "What's stupid is that I snuck into the line right in front of you when I saw you from across the fair grounds, and then paid the attendant down there fifty bucks to save a space for you."

"Wait, what??" you exclaimed. You could not believe what Joe had just said.

He replied, "Yeah, I thought you were really cute and wanted to find a way to get to know you. I guess I picked the right ride to do that. However, I did not plan for the ride to break down. That was pure coincidence...but I guess I'm just a lucky, huh?"

You both laughed and then talked for fifteen more minutes until the people below finally got the Ferris Wheel working again.

After you both got off, you saw his mates coming your way. You both knew it was time for him to go.

"I would love to win you a stuffed bear, but I have to go. Here's my number. I'll call you so I can take you somewhere that doesn't include broken-down rides and my mates to ruin our fun." Joe said.

You laughed. "Thanks. I'll be looking forward to that."

Joe then took your hand and kissed it. Then he was off.

You found your best friend and told her what had happened. Now you don't care that she knows your crush, because now you know that your secret crush likes you back!

You and your friend went and rode more rides and played games for the rest of the night. You even won a stuffed bear! You named him Thatcher and sent a picture of him to Joe, who got a chuckle out of it.

Now there are two things in the world you love: Ferris Wheels and your boyfriend, Joe Sugg.
