Chapter 41

I woke up the next day, feeling kinda destroyed. I grabbed my phone from the nightstand and I had a message from Lucas.

Lucas😜; Good morning cutie! Can't wait to see you again!

I didn't answer. I went downstairs and I had breakfast. My mum had made waffles which was Matt's favorite breakfast. After my breakfast, I got a phone call from Lucas. I had to pick it up.

You; Morning Lucas!
Lucas; Morning cutie! How are you today?
You; I'm fine, how about you?
Lucas; I'm perfect! So, I was wondering if we could go to the park today.
You; Of course! Wanna meet up now?
Lucas; I'll be there in 15 minutes.
You; Okay see ya!

We ended the call. I went back to my room to get ready. While I was searching for my new hoodie, I found one of Matt's in my closet. It was the Travis Scott one. Matt's favorite hoodie! It was still smelling like him! I hugged it so tight, imagining Matt hugging me back. I put it back and I grabbed my favorite hoodie and my favorite blue jeans.

Matt's POV

I woke up even tho I didn't want to. I went downstairs, walking like a zombie because I couldn't sleep, plus, I was crying all night. My eyes are red, my face is extremely white, I have black circles and bags under my eyes. My mum was waiting for me at the kitchen. She had made me breakfast but I didn't want to eat.

MrsMorris; Oh God!  Matthew, what happened to you?
Me; I'm fine mum. I ain't hungry. I'll go to the park for a while.
MrsMorris; Baby you don't look okay!
Me; I'm fine. I just need fresh air.

I grabbed my guitar and I went to the park. I sat on a bench and I took my guitar out of its case. I started playing not really caring about my cut on my hand. The only thing that calms down now is my hobby, singing. I wanted to express my feelings through a song. 

Your POV

Lucas picked me up from my house and we went to the park.

Lucas; I love the weather today!
You; Yeah pretty sunny!
Lucas; Like it! Hey, why everyone is staring at this guy with the guitar?
You; Maybe he's a great singer. Who knows?
Lucas; Let's go!
You; Where are we going?
Lucas; To him! I wanna hear him singing.
You; Okay. Let's go!

We walked to that bench. My heart was beating so fast because that guy might be Matt. He was looking so familiar. His clothes, the guitar he was holding, the cap he was wearing. We finally arrived there and I confirmed my theories. That guy was Matt. I looked over Lucas because I wanted to leave. I couldn't face Matt after what I did.

You; Lucas.

I whispered to him but he didn't answer. Matt's singing skills distracted him. I looked over Matt. He didn't look good. His face was melting and it was as white as the paper. His eyes were red and they had black circles and bags. But his voice was so beautiful! It didn't match with his face.

Matt; "I sung the melody the other day. I was humming myself "Man, I wish you were my girlfriend". And I was hoping you would come my way. But you keep to yourself cause you probably got a boyfriend. It ain't my character to be that guy. I ain't tripping, I'll be dripping if things don't feel right. I just wanna make you smile. Write you a song, get to know what you like... "

Damn... I remember when we were twelve years old. He used to sing me that song. It was one of my favorite songs of him! When he singing it, he had that "Please Be Mine" look.

Matt; "What's your name girl? Where you from? Where you going? Can I come? Is it real or make believe? "

I wish I could just hug him and apologize to him!

Matt; " Baby if it weren't for you, if weren't for you. I'd be lonely. And everywhere I go.  Only thing between us right now is a stereo. Cause all I really want is you, all I really want is you. Lucas; Yo! Congratulations bro! I really loved this song, so Y/N, shall we give him some money? I mean look at him! He's starving himself!

I just wish I could punch Lucas! Matt was looking at me disappointed and sad at the same time.

You; Lucas! Knock it off!
Lucas; Why? Alright I'll shut up. Hey kid, here's 20$. Buy something to eat.

Matt pushed his hand away making him drop the money.

Matt; Listen you fool! I don't need your money!
Lucas; Hey! Didn't your parents teach you how to behave?

Matt didn't say anything. He grabbed his guitar case and he left. I slapped Lucas straight to the face.

Lucas; Ouch! Why did you do that?
You; You have to learn some manners!
Lucas; Sorry! But he had to behave himself too!
You; Shame on you Lucas!
Lucas; I'm sorry!

Matt's POV.

That fool! If only he knew who am I. Anyways, I left from the park being sad and angry, but mostly sad. A pain on my head was taking over my feelings. I suddenly felt nauseous and my eyes were heavy. My heart was killing me too.

Me; Wha- what's happening to m-me?

I said touching my head. I stopped walking because everything was spinning around me. I was ready to call someone for help but I wasn't that lucky. I fell on the ground and everything went black.

Your POV

I left the park with Lucas. I stopped walking when I saw a boy on the ground. I couldn't believe it!

You; MATT!

I yelled and I ran to him. I put him in my hug and Lucas was staring at me shocked.

Lucas; That guy was your ex?
You; STAY AWAY FROM US! GO AWAY!
Lucas; Y/N...
You; I said GO AWAY!

I yelled and I started crying. I took off Matt's cap and I unzipped his jacket.

You; Matt please! Say something!

I grabbed my phone and I called an ambulance. I kissed his forehead and then his cheek. I was holding his hand. He was still warm.

You; Matt please! Wake up!

I was in the middle of the street with Matt in my hug. Soon the ambulance arrived and took him to the hospital. I called his family to tell them what happened. They rushed to the hospital as fast as they could. I was sitting on a chair outside Matt's room. I was crying over his jacket and his cap. Suddenly, I felt someone patting my shoulder. I turned my head and I saw Josh, Matt's brother.

Josh; Hey, stop crying! He always hated  seeing you crying!
You; True, but I can't stop Josh!
Josh; He was madly in love with you Y/N! When he saw you with Lucas for first time, he came back and he started breaking things. He even cut himself, well not in purpose. But still.
You; When did that happened?
Josh; The day of the football championship. He went to see Justin.

Dammit! No! No no NO! I started crying again. Mrs Tawny sat next to me and she hugged me.

MrsMorris; Don't cry sweetie! He will be fine!
You; I can't believe it Mrs Tawny! I destroyed him!
MrsMorris; No honey! It wasn't your fault.
You; It was! I shouldn't have listened to him when he told me to move on.
MrsMorris; He told you that because he hated seeing you crying and he wanted you to be happy! Even if your happiness is killing his.
You; Mrs Tawny, I didn't want to move on! I just couldn't and I still can't! Matt was the most important person in my life. He still is. I just can't believe I tried to forget him.
