MrMorris; Congrats son! Now Y/N is in trouble too!
Me; I didn't know she wanted and she still wants to get her too. What do I do dad?
MrMorris; What are the options you have?
Me; Breakup with Y/N to protect her or be with her and try to protect her,  and I might fail, if I choose the second option.
MrMorris; Look what you did Matt! Poor girl!
Me; Dad, I don't wanna break up with her! I don't wanna break her heart! But what if I'm unable to protect her? I'm so so confused!
MrMorris; Matthew, I really can't help you now. I told you, don't get involved in that story. I can handle it myself.
Me; I'm so so stupid!
MrMorris; Son, don't blame yourself only! I shouldn't have talked to you about my company's problems.
Me; No dad! You should. Damn... I really don't wanna break her heart but I'm afraid I won't be able to protect her.

I heard Y/N coming out of the bathroom. I quickly changed the topic.

Me; So, I decided to write a new song tonight.
MrMorris; Really? That's amazing!
Me; I know right! Oh hey babe!

I said looking at her with a smile.

Y/N; Hey Matt! Sorry, my mom called me again.
Me; Are you in better terms?
Y/N; Yeah she apologized for calling you... You know.
Me; I'm so happy for you babe!
MrMorris; Excuse me kids for interrupting your moment but I have to go. I have a meeting in half an hour. Have fun!
Me; Bye dad! Good luck!
Y/N; Bye Mr Blake!
MrMorris; Goodbye kids!

He left. Damn, I'm so confused and destroyed. What should I do? I really love and I don't wanna lose her but what if... What if she gets hurt or something?

Y/N; MATT!
Me; Um yeah baby?
Y/N; What are you thinking about again?
Me; N-nothing.
Y/N; I don't believe you!
Me; I'm fine! I swear!
Y/N; Okay. If you don't wanna tell me the truth, it's okay then. Hey, wanna see some old photos of us?
Me; Huh?
Y/N; Well, I've made this.

She said and she took an photo album out of her bag.

Me; "Our memories"?
Y/N; Yeah. This album includes photos of us since the first day we met. It turns out we've been known each other since we were two little cute babies!
Me; For real?
Y/N; Yes. Wanna see them?
Me; Of course!

She opened the album and we saw the first pics.

Y/N; Here's the newborn Matthew! Awe!
Me; Hahaha! And that's the newborn Y/N! How cute you are!
Y/N; You're cuter! Look at those little eyes! Just look at them!

I blushed and I laughed too.

Me; Where did you find those pics?
Y/N; Your mum gave them to me!
Me; Oh snap!
Y/N; Haha! Awe! Matty is blushing!
Me; Matty?
Y/N; That's how I used to call you! Don't you remember?
Me; Oh yeah! I do remember now!
Y/N; You were in love with that nickname!
Me; Yeah. That's why my Internet name is MattyBRaps!
Y/N; Awe! I love you!
Me; I love you too!

We continued watching our old pics. I was trying my best to not cry. All those memories, all those happy times, when we were two innocent kids trying to explore the world.

Y/N; Look at that booty!
Me; Stooop!

I said while a small laugh escaped my mouth.

Y/N; What? I have the video from that day too!

She said while she was laughing.

Me; No you don't!
Y/N; Oh yes I do! We'll watch it later.
Me; Damn!
Y/N; I'm joking!

She said and she playfully punched my arm. We continued observing our old pics. We were so happy. I could see through those pics that we have future together. We've never fought. We were always next to each other, we were supporting each other. But back then, everything was different. I didn't have to choose between breaking her heart or putting her in a huge danger. We finally reached the most recent pics. The day of the homecoming dance.

Y/N; Do you remember that day?
Me; Of course I do! Like it was THE best day of my life!
Y/N; Mine too! Look at you! You look so handsome in that suit!
Me; That dress tho! I loved it so much! Wait, are we kissing each other in that pic?
Y/N; Yes. Our first kiss! Liv took that pic.
Me; I really wanna thank her!
Y/N; I did it instead of you!
Me; It doesn't count! I need to thank her too!

She took my hand and looked at my eyes.

Y/N; Matt, we're a couple now! We're one. One fist!

I couldn't hold my tears anymore. I started crying. I've decided what to do. It would be so painful for both of us but we don't have another choice. I don't wanna see her at the hospital. I won't let her get hurt like my best friend Christopher. Poor guy! He lost his ability to walk again. He was the happiest kid on Earth! Now, he's depressed. And that was my fault. But that's another story too.

Y/N; Why are you crying?

I was completely speechless. I couldn't hurt her right now. It wasn't the right time. Tomorrow, I have to end our relationship. I have to. It will be so difficult but I prefer breaking up with her than see her suffering for the rest of her life knowing it was my fault.

Me; All those memories! We are together since the first day of our life! Look at us now! We're still together, as a couple! You've been in my hug since you started walking!

She smiled and she wiped my tears with her thumb. She turned the last page of the album.

Y/N; "and more adventures are waiting us..."

I hugged her so tight like it was our last hug. More tears were coming out of my eyes. As we pulled away, I leaned in pressing my lips against hers. That kiss was different from the others. That could be our last one. I really love her! I need her next to me. I need her hugs when I'm feeling down, I need her voice to calm me down when I'm angry, I need her lips to escape from that world. I just need her, but I also want her to be happy! I want her to be able to wake up the next day without feeling any pain or being unable to move. I just want her to be safe. That's why she has to stay away from me. We pulled away and laid her head on my chest.

Y/N; Don't cry Matt! Please!
Me; I'm sorry! I'll stop!
Y/N; I love you so much!

Okay, when I heard those words, I started crying again. No one knows the feeling when someone who loves you and you love them back,  says "I love you" and you know that the next day you have to end the things between you two so they can be safe from the danger you've put them...
