Chapter #38

Kait's POV;

   I stormed out of the house once again, and once again really pissed off. Sam had the nerve to call me a fucking slut so once again I slapped him and then M came in and here I am now getting back into my car with my stuff still in thankfully. Before I left the driveway I texted Brennen.

   Me: Can I come over? Sam had the nerve to call me a slut and said I shouldn't have come back...

   Brennen😙: Of course

    Me: Thanks...

  I back out of the driveway and make the ten minute drive over to Brennen's. Once I park across the street and grab my shit and make my way across the street and too his front door. I set down the bags and knock on the door. Brennen quickly opens the door and hugs me. Something suddenly then snapped where I began to break down crying on Brennen's chest.

   "It'll be okay, you can stay with me as long as you want alright?" He whispers rubbing my back slowly.

   I pull away and nod. I grab my bags and go inside with Brennen following me. I set the bags by the couch and sit down with my face in my hands.

   "Here, it's some tea that my mom gave to me" Brennen says handing me a coffee cup.

   "Thanks" I whisper taking the warm cup.

   "Anytime love" He says. It caught me off guard for a moment.

   "Brennen...I like you but I don't want anything serious right now...I'm sorry" I apologize.

   "It's alright, take your time. I'll be waiting" He smiles. "Lets watch some TV" He suggests.

   I nod and scoot closer to him and he wraps one arm around my waist. I quickly kiss his cheek and go back into the position I was in. I hear him chuckle and kiss the top of my head.

~1 hour later~

    After about one hour into the movie I feel myself slowly begin to drift asleep. I close my eyes to let myself be taken by the sweet thing called sleep.

  I was suddenly woken up by being lifted up. I slightly open my eyes to see Brennen carrying me to his bed. He set me down carefully and takes off my shoes. A few minutes passed by until I felt the bed dip down next to me. I feel Brennen scoot me closer to his shirtless body which made me blush.

  "Goodnight darling" I hear him whisper.

   "Goodnight Love" I answer.

    He chuckles and I feel myself get taken again by the darkness.

   When I woke up the next time the sun was just beginning to rise. I could still feel Brennen's arm wrapped around me. I smile and unwrap his arm and get up to make us some pancakes. Even though I know he's on a diet he'll still eat them.

   As I'm pouring the batter into frying pan I feel two hands settle on my waist.

  "Mornin' beautiful" I hear Brennen greet me as he nuzzles his nose into my neck.

   "Morning handsome" I reply with a giggle.

   I put the bowl to the side and turn around to face Brennen. I wrap my arms around his neck and hesitantly leaned in for a kiss before Brennen completed the space between us. It suddenly got heated and I ended up with my legs wrapped around Brennen. I quickly reached and turned off the stove and Brennen took us back into the bedroom.

  And let's say the uncooked parts of the pancake weren't cooked for a few hours and defiantly weren't the things getting heated.

   Pretty proud of this not gonna lie. I hope you all enjoyed and there is only 2 updates left!! I can't believe it! M and I started this book a year and a month ago. And now look how it's far come! Anyways bye!
