"Jimin... I need your help."
A look of concern washed over him, and he widened the gap between the door and its frame, "What's the matter?"
"Minjee's missing."
"What?"
"I need every amount of help I can find until I locate her," I said, the thought causing my thereom pump to increase speed again, "Please. Can you help me?
He searched the floor in confusion and consideration, his LED flashing yellow, but it wasn't long until we locked eyes again and his LED spiraled back to a gentle blue, "What do you need me to do?"
"I need to find a loan shark."
"A loan shark? Why?"
"Minjee's father signed up for a loan without anyone's knowledge. He's been drunk for the past few weeks, so I assume that's when he started drinking is when he did it.
He also informed me that he was late on a payment, and I'm positive that they took Minjee to threaten him. They'll most likely wait until he's noticed that she's missing. He's extremely intoxicated at the moment, so it may take a while, but that gives us a larger time frame to find her."
Jimin said nothing. He simply stared at the floor.
"Is there any way we can discover who's behind all this?"
Jimin finally raised his head, "I know someone who can help us."
I followed Jimin into the house and down the hallway in silence until he spoke, "Jiae's father is a police officer and a criminal investigator, so we'll be able to find her in no time." We the entered a room where a man was sitting at a computer: documents stood at every corner of the desk, and his attention was anchored to the device in front of him.
Jimin initiated the conversation, "Mr. Kim, we have a guest."
The man turned to me, his glasses hanging desperately by the tip of his nose, "Oh, hello. J-Hope, I presume?"
I bowed, "Yes sir. Hello, my name is Jung Hoseok. I am the J-Hope model from the Bang-"
"-tan Sonyeondan collection. I know," he interrupted, "I heard that from Jimin the first time he arrived. Never forgot it, either. May I ask why you're here?"
"I have to have someone to help me, as soon as possible. Immediately if you're able."
He squinted lightly, "What do you need?"
"I..." I'd never hesitated before, "I need you to..."
"Go on, spit it out," he encouraged.
My words seemed glued to my tongue as the fear of rejection crept up, "I need you to find someone. Please."
"Who?"
"A criminal. He's kidnapped someone I care-" I caught myself, "someone for whom I have the responsibility to care for."
"You're a deviant, aren't you?"
"W-what?" I had never stuttered before either.
"It's okay, so is Jimin."
I glanced at Jimin, he waved with a smile, then I turned back to Mr. Kim.
"I'd like to inform you both that I am not a deviant. I was created to serve humans, not to become one," I answered.
"Oh, real-"
"Yes. Really," I retorted.
He squinted harder than before, then swiveled back towards his computer and shrugged, "Whatever you say. Do you know who you're looking for?"
