Song: What A Time by Julia Michaels featuring Niall Horan

Kierra's POV

I awkwardly knock on Alex's apartment door.

Dressed in white converse and a pink mid-thigh dress, I look half decent.

"Hey," Alex says smiling slightly.

"Hey," I reply stepping inside.

It smells like air freshener.

Alex has most obviously begun packing. Several half-empty suitcases lie all over the place.

"Bro, don't fill up your suitcases all the way," I advise. "You get so much team USA apparel."

"Oooh, cool!" Alex says enthusiastically.

"I dare you to go get into the pool," Alex says smirking.

"Excuse me," I say shocked.

"I'll get in with you," Alex suggests. "I mean we were going to go swimming."

"Fineeeeee," I say dragging out the e.

Changing into a purple bikini, I walk downstairs my hand intertwined with Alex's. It feels so right, so perfect.

"Are you sure that the pool's even open?" I ask checking my watch. "It's 11:36."

"I mean, worst case, we just sneak in," Alex says savagely.

"Are you drunk?" I ask staring at him giggling.

Alex opens the pool gate silently and the two of us slip in quietly.

The two of us walk quietly by the edge of the pool.

Without warning, I suddenly shove Alex into the water.

"HEY!" Alex screams pulling me in as well.

Splashing him I dive under the water swimming away.

"COME BACK HERE KIERRA!" Alex screams.

Shaking my head childishly I continue swimming away from him.

We soon end up with a full-on game of tag in the pool.

"Cold," I whisper my teeth chattering as we race up the stairs.

"You can take a shower," Alex says throwing me a towel.

"Thanks," I say smiling and grabbing my backpack.

Entering his bathroom I stare at the wall.

The white floor is too perfect.

A large white chart has been taped up in a corner above a scale. I stare at the numbers my fingers trailing down the list.

I turn to the boxes of pills lined up on the counter.

"Diet pills," I say reading them aloud. "Sleeping pills."

Screwing open the lids I flush them down the toilet.

Several razor blades lie in a compartment of the first drawer. Pulling them out quickly I place them in a ziplock bag putting them in the overflowing trash.

A few bloodstained napkins lay at the top.

Nothing is fine anymore.

Alex's POV

"Alex, we need to talk," Kierra says firmly.

"Yes?" I ask sitting on a stool.
