To the Reader:
Second Chance leaves with gaping holes all over the place. Part of the reason for this was to set up for a sequel. But a sequel is something I'm not exactly keen to write, I think to grow we must move on.
But the truth is, Second Chance was something I wrote to heal, and in a sense cope with my emotions, hence the sudden appearance of Alex.
In a way, each character in this story is supposed to represent a different part of me, and a different aspect of my life.
Second Chance was not only about giving characters a second chance, but it was also about giving me a second chance. It was about starting my life over again.
I've been through a lot in the past 2 years, countless visits to psychiatrists, countless medications, countless suicide plans, countless cuts. Second Chance was supposed to represent giving my life a second chance and to show the world that when you are broken you only heal. I do admit things have been rough, and I'm not "better" yet but I'm on the road to recovery.
As a reader, maybe you don't understand, but my hope is that you take something away from this story.
It's never too late to start over.
You can be broken, bruised, shattered but there's still hope. You may have to search for it through the impossible, but it does exist.
Second Chance was obviously not the greatest story, it wasn't planned out, and I had no clue where it was going, so I wrote. When your 13, and you write a story for almost a year and a half, you change. As a result, the story somehow captures so many different sides of me.
However, I do understand that from a reading point a lot of it doesn't make sense. So I'm working on editing, and rewriting almost every chapter. If you read Second Chance when I was still updating, I would recommend you go back and reread it; it's changed a lot.
And to all of you, I wish that you would find your joy and your happiness.
Thank you, for letting me find my joy and happiness, and thank you for all your love and support.
And lastly, thank you for helping me find the purpose in my life.
