Song: Lighthouse by G.R.L

Kierra's POV

"So I see you've met Alex," Emily says casually.

Pulling away from each other my cheeks turn red.

"He's going to be your new training mate," Emily states.

Staring at him it takes me a while to comprehend the fact that Emily's training him too.

Emily's never really trained anyone but me.

It sounds really bratty and arrogant, but I've never really had to have a training mate. It's always been Emily focusing all her attention on me.

"Cool," I whisper uncertainty.

"So I would appreciate if you could keep things PG," Emily smirks winking at us as she spins around and walks away.

Taking one last look at Alex I practice a coupe triple axels and salchows. I watch silently as Alex takes off for a jump landing a technically perfect quad lutz.

Vincent couldn't beat that, not even Nathan, the Quad King.

"I want to see that short program you choreographed," Emily states distracting me from my daze.

I nod as I skate over to my phone pulling up the music for it.

Alex sits patiently on the sideboard.

"Remember, that you're supposed to make the audience feel something, that was the whole point of letting your choreograph." Emily says.

Lighthouse by G.R.L floats across the rink as I make my way to my starting pose.

I skate toward the center of the rink as the familiar entrance plays.

This isn't just for me, its for anyone with cancer.

Crossovers, quad lutz, triple toe loop, double toe loop, landing confidently on my blade with a perfect reach back.

"When the sun is gone behind the clouds,"

The music rings in my ears as I begin a couple of dance steps and then a step sequence.

And then the last jump in my combo, my famous triple axle.

There was talk of throwing in a quad axle.

But at the end of the day, it's too risky.

"I'll guide you home with my lighthouse."

I strike my final pose chewing my lip nervously.

I watch her, but movement in the stands causes me to advert my gaze. I stare at Alex who stares back eye's watering as he stands up and runs from the room.

Turning back to Emily she smiles gently.

"It's perfect," She whispers.

Alex's POV

I stare at myself in the mirror of the locker room.

"Disgusting," I whisper to myself.

I stare at myself shocked at the fact that I can barely see my ribs.

"No, no, no, you can't think like that Alex, everything is fine, you're fine, fine, fine, fine, fine," I attempt to convince myself.

I stare back in the mirror looking at myself.

It wouldn't hurt to not eat dinner.

Throwing on a pair of sweats and a baggy t-shirt to cover my disgusting body I walk out of the locker room.
