I have never made a mistake so colossal in all my life. Okay that's a lie. Joining the wrong side was the worst but this, this is the second worst. How could I be so stupid as to blurt out for anyone to hear that I regret and don't wish to serve Voldemort? It's not like I knew that there were Death eaters aboard searching for Luna. However, that doesn't make the mistake any less dimwitted.

So now, here I sit, in a cellar in the Malfoy's basement with burns and scars covering my limbs. All thanks to the Dark Lord's Death Eaters of course. He hasn't even seen me since my arrival which I can only guess was a few days ago. He ordered them to punish me for my disloyalty. However, he claims he's not done with me yet and I know all too well what he has planned. First, they'll torture me and force me to live off raw meat and blood. Second, he'll make sure I'm a complete and utter weak wreck and then, he'll stick me under the imperius curse and order me to kill all my friends when the time comes.

It's not long before Draco manages to convince his father to let him see me. I'm sitting on a cramped little cot when I hear his footsteps coming down the stairs. I was at first scared that it would be one of the Death Eaters again but the Malfoy's have a distinguishable scent that I picked up on quite fast.

Draco pokes his blonde head around the corner and takes one long look at me. Then he sighs and faces me through the bars.

"I'm sorry Rose. I feel like it's my fault you're involved."

"It's not your fault. I was born into this mess." I say as I rise to my feet.

"I suppose you're right. I certainly didn't help though."

We stare at each other long and hard trying to sort though what we're thinking.

"How's Caelum and Serah?" I ask changing the subject.

He looks relieved and answers quickly, after all, it's not like him to apologize for something,

"I haven't seen them much. I know they're currently busy training new recruits. Vera and Caelum have both stopped by to ask about you but no one will let them in. I think they know what's going to happen."

"Do you?"

"Yes... Do you know?"

"It's not hard to guess." I grumble.

Draco gives me a pitying look and changes the subject, "I heard that my aunt might allow you to have your family visit."

"Oh? That's good news. For once."

He nods and continues, "Well, I better go. Stay safe Rosetta."

"You too. Thanks."

He gives me another swift nod and shuffles away.

That night, I was visited by visions of war.

I have no idea how much time has passed. It must be several days since Draco visited me and my vampire family is finally allowed to see me. However, they can't visit in groups. So surprisingly enough, Zemira is the first to come in.

She glides in like a goddess and looks around disgustedly, "This is where you've been staying the past week?"

"Yep. Like it?"

She rolls her pretty red eyes and takes a seat on an old rickety wooden chair, "You were probably expecting someone like Caelum but looks like you get the privilege of seeing me first."

"And why.. might I ask?"

"Shut up. I'll get to it."

I roll my eyes internally and nod, "Alright. Go on."
