Chapter Six: O.W.L.s

Today is the Quidditch match between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. Students are spilling out of the corridors, running towards the field. I look around for Emily but I don't see her face anywhere in the pile of students running about. I catch a glimpse of Lydia but then she is gone. I follow in the direction I saw her towards the tall stands. I don't fancy the  idea of sitting alone. Quidditch is cool but I think it would be more fun to play than to watch. I need to find Emily so we can talk. 

I continue to the Slytherin stands and make my way through the painful elbows of the first years. I realize as I get to the top that Emily must have went to sit in the other Slytherin stand. However, Draco, Pansy, Crabbe, and Goyle sit in this one. Unfortunately, I don't see Blaise among them. I would much rather sit by him. In the end, I go sit beside Goyle. Draco is squished between Crabbe and Pansy. 

"Rose." Goyle says with a nod of his head. 

"Gregory." I say nodding back. 

Then Draco looks over hearing my name and smiles at me. I smile back earning a glare from Pansy and Millicent. I sit in silence not sure of whether I should try to strike up a conversation. Crabbe and Goyle don't talk to me much other than saying 'Hi' or 'Pass the...' . Thankfully, it doesn't take long for the game to start. 

Gryffindor is doing terribly so far and yet again, Slytherin's are singing their silly, 'Weasley is our King.' song. I join in after a while just for the fun of it. However, it doesn't take long before I get very bored. Why didn't I just go over to the other stand? As I sit back yawning in pure boredom, I see a shimmer in the corner of my eye. I look over towards the Forbidden Forest and see what looks like a person holding a mirror. It is hard to tell since they are so far away but what else would reflect the sun into my eyes? I try to ignore it for a while but I am a terribly curious person. Before I know it, I am excusing myself and slipping away down the steps of the stand. 

I run back to my room and grab my invisibility cloak. Then I throw it on and dash to the tree line in stealth mode. As I get close I slow down. Just through the trees I can see a face peeking out.  The person keeps popping in and out as if afraid of being caught. I get about ten feet away and notice that the face belongs to Serah. Why did she come back here? 

"Rosetta!" Serah hisses.

Wait, can she see me?

"I know you are there. I can smell you. Come out, come out wherever you are." She sings in her melodious voice. 

I pull off the cloak and she beckons me into the forest. At first I don't move but then I glance back and realize a teacher might see me if I don't move. The crowds are still screaming and singing behind me as I creep through the forest edge. 

"What? Why are you back here?" I ask.

Serah stops walking and turns to face me. 

"I need to know when you are going to be done school. I went back and told the coven what you said before but Mother still wants to meet you. So she sent me to figure out how long you'll be before your break." 

"Only a few weeks left. I've just got to do my exams and then I'm done. I could send you an owl when the break arrives if you wish." 

"Alright. I shall return for you then." 

Then oddly enough, she steps closer and kisses my forehead before turning and darting into the trees. Just like that, she is gone. I do really like my new found aunt but she is awfully strange. Plus, something seems a little off about her. I put my cloak back on and just as I'm about to leave, I hear someone scream from further into the forest. Alarmed, I dash out of the trees and wait for anything else. I don't hear anything else after a few minutes so I dash back up to the castle.
