As Emily and I are walking, she notices my eyes.

"Rose!" She says alarmed, "Your eyes are red!"

"Yeah, I guess I didn't get enough sleep." I say dismissively.

"No, no ,no, they are literally red. Your eyes aren't blood shot, your irises are pure blood red. I was so angry before I didn't look you directly in the eyes."

"Oh. Yeah, my eyes change colors. Weird right? Well maybe I'll eat in my room. I don't want to scare anyone..." I trail off.

"Yeah," She says, "It is kind of creepy are you sure some one didn't try and curse you?"

"Well thanks for the honesty, but no, I'm sure."

There is an awkward silence between us and I'm not sure what to say.

"No offense though, goodness! You're not creepy, just your eyes." She says laughing and I join in knowing what she means.

From there we part ways and I get some breakfast from the kitchen before deciding to eat in the Slytherin common room. Today I am wearing a long sleeved shirt to cover my scratches and gashes. Then I go and eat in peace.

Eventually my eyes go back to their usual glittery silver color and just in time for me to make it to transfiguration. I'm hoping this doesn't happen again. Emily is already suspicious of me. Transfiguration was long but not boring because Professor Mcgonagall has quite the funny sense of humor for such a strict old lady. Once I step into potions, Emily comes running up to me and whispers in my ear,

"Guess who was wondering where you were!"

"Who?" I ask.

"Draco!" She silently squeals.

I feel my face heat up slightly as I glance at the boy as he gets out his books. Emily's smile couldn't be any bigger. Just then Marie and Lydia stroll in. As we take our seats, Snape bursts through the doors and demands us to open to page 340. I am quite good at potions mostly because of all my private sessions with Snape over the holidays. Lydia struggled the whole time and in the end, her potion blew up in her face. Marie laughed so loud that Snape snapped at her. Emily's potion was alright but it wasn't up to the professors standards. Marie made hers very well and I was quite amazed. I watched Draco make his potion on the other side of the classroom. Amazingly enough, he made his as well as mine. As I was looking at the boy, he turns slightly and catches my eye. And what does he do? He winks. Ugh, I'm dead. Okay I think I'm starting to like him. I quickly look away as the butterflies erupt in my stomach. Emily catches our interaction and smiles evilly at me. I will never live this down.

"Soooooo," Emily drags on, "You like Malfoy, eh?"

"Ugh, shut up Em." I say shaking my head.

She laughs merrily as we walk to Charms class. This class is alright but I prefer classes with a little more action like Magical creatures, Defense Against the Dark Arts, or Transfiguration. History of magic is a total bore and Herbology isn't very fun to me. Although, since Professor Umbridge is here, Defense Against the Dark Arts is boring too. I definitely miss Professor Lupin, he was an amazing teacher but after the third year he kind of just disappeared. I know why he left though, he is a werewolf. He used to give me advice about my father and I. I really liked him and now I have no idea where he's gone. Emily and I speed walk into the class and hurry into our seats. Behind us sits Pansy and Millicent Bulstrode. As Emily is getting her things together I listen in to their whispered conversation,

"I would be so perfect for Draco though." Sighs Pansy.

"Yeah especially since you're both prefects." Millicent giggles in her ugly voice.
