Once every student and teacher had gathered in the Great Hall, Professor McGonagall, gave everyone instructions on what to do. The younger students were to evacuate with Madam Pomfrey and Mr. Filch and the older ones who wished to stay and fight could. However before the students could leave the Hall, a cold voice filtered into the room startling us all. Voldemort.

" I know that you are preparing to fight, " His voice says as a few students scream in fear, "Your efforts are futile.  You cannot fight me. I do not want to kill you," I glance around like many others for the source of the voice but find none, "I have great respect for the teachers of Hogwarts. I do not want to spill magical blood."

His voice stops for a moment and all that is heard is the heavy and terrified breaths of the students around me.

"Give me Harry Potter and none shall be harmed. Give me Harry Potter, and I shall leave the school untouched. Give me Harry Potter, and you will be rewarded," Says Voldemort's voice, "You have until midnight."

Lies. He once convinced me that the world would be better if he ruled. That my family and I would be free of oppression but this is false, so false. I wish I could scream it at them but instead, all is quiet for several moments before all eyes seems to find Harry's. Pansy Parkinson of all people, stands up. She raises her arm to Harry and yells,

"But he's there! Potter's there! Someone grab him!"

Anger fills me at her cowardice and I find myself stepping up around him like many others to shield him from the cowardly Slytherins. Normally I would be on the other side of this equation. I scan the Slytherin crowd and spot Lydia clutching onto the arm of a terrified Emily. My heart restricts as Emily pry's her arm from Lydia and walks over to the other side. Lydia looks shocked and scared but doesn't move. She would rather give Harry up than fight this battle. I never liked her as much as Emily.

Emily doesn't see me as she finds her place among the students.

"Thank you, miss Parkinson," Says McGonagall, " You will leave the Hall first with Mr Filch. If the rest of your house could follow."

Lydia gives Emily a pleading look but Emily in turn, just sticks her defiant chin up a little higher. Lydia seemingly sighs and follows the Slytherins out. Katie Bell stands beside Emily and pats her back.

"Ravenclaws, follow on!" McGonagall cries and the tables start emptying faster.

Before I know it, there are just desperate under age left and those old enough and brave enough to stay and fight. The teachers shoo the younger one's out and I find my eyes landing on Emily again. She moves from where she stands and finds a seat at the Gryffindor table where her eyes scan the crowds coming straight for me against the wall. Sure enough, her eyes swept over me and kept going only to spring back to me. Her eyes widen and before I can even react, she springs from her seat and is sprinting across the room over to me. At first I'm unsure of her intentions and I push myself away from the wall but my doubts are chased away the moment she yanks me into a giant bear hug. I let out a gasp as she squeezes me and eventually, I hug her back in surprise.

"I missed you so much," She whispers, "What are you doing here?"

"I- I'm with Luna..."

She pulls away from me with tears gleaming in her pretty blue eyes, "That doesn't matter now, what does matter is that you're here. On the right side."

I nod my head feeling speechless. Emily grabs my hand and turns to listen as Kingsley addresses the group. He gives us directions but I find myself having a hard time listening. I have my sister back, my best friend. She forgave me just like that?
