the aftermath of the ring of fire. the growth into the next phase of her life with new faces emerging to the surface and others fading into the dark. this is the new life. the new reality, and there's very little anyone can do to stop the time ticking by and dragging them into this changed world.
earth is a hostile planet. earth is habitable, but dangerous. the 100 reduced to a few, but fleshed out by the arc survivors. this isn't what they'd imagined when they'd come to earth, but its what they got. now, becoming who they need to be to survive is all that matters. humanity? forgotten. pushed into the background by the strive for prosperity at all costs.
for althea, this is her worst nightmare come true as she learns to wield a sword to fight. fight when all she'd ever wanted to do was live.
