As I was sitting and chatting with Minnie and Sorn, I felt someone approach me from behind.
"Hey!" she exclaimed, grabbing my shoulders as if she were trying to hug me. "I'm so glad you're here with us this year! This school is such an enchanting place. I really hope you will enjoy it!"
I didn't know who she was. I'm pretty sure I've seen her sit next to Soyeon this morning in Korean class, but I've never spoken to her, and I didn't know her name.
"Hey", I said, calmly. "I'm Lisa, nice to meet you. Thanks for the greetings! What's your name?"
"I'm Song Yuqi", she said. "I mean, that's how you say my name in Chinese - I'm Chinese. But my friends in Korea pronounce it as Yuki."
"Wow, well that sounds cute", I smiled. "Nice to meet you, Yuqi."
"Hi!" I saw three girls approach me. Wow, they're so pretty, I thought.

"Hi", one of them said. "I'm Jennie, and they're Jisoo and Rosé. How'd you like our school so far?"
"Hi, I'm Lisa, and it's great", I said. For some reason, I just couldn't stop smiling - so many people willing to meet me was overwhelming for me, in a positive way actually.
"Wanna hang out after school?" one of them - which I think was Jisoo - asked.
"Sure!" I approved excitedly. "Where?"
"We can go together after school", Jennie said. "We're going to the mall, cause Rosé wants to dye her hair red."
"Okay, see you later then!" I said, and immediately got up to take my tray away.
