It was now winter. Beautiful white snow covered the ground, and the lake was completely frozen. Eleanor smiled as she looked out the window, placing her hand on it as she watched the snow fall.

"It's so beautiful," she whispered to herself, unaware that Dio was listening from where he was reading from the corner.

"It's cold," he stated, and Eleanor rolled her eyes as she looked over at him.

"I like the cold."

"I can tell."

The two chuckled. Ever since that fight between Dio and Jonathan, Dio had become a lot more friendly and less of a jerk. It was nice, he and Eleanor had actually started to become friends.

"What would you do during the winter before you came to live here, Dio?" Eleanor asked as she walked over to Dio and sat in the chair across from him.

"Try not to die," he responded flatly, not looking up from his book.

Eleanor rolled her eyes.

"You never did anything fun?"

"What fun can the cold be?"

Eleanor smirked.

"I can show you if you want." Dio thought for a moment. "Please?"

Dio sighed.

"Alright, fine. It's a shame that JoJo won't be able to join us though."

Eleanor nodded.

"Yeah, poor JoJo. He's been miserable since he got sick."

Dio set down his book and he stood.

"Well are we going out or not?"

Eleanor smiled and she stood.

"Alright then, come on."

Eleanor walked towards the front door, Dio following. They dressed warmly, putting on their thick coats, boots, and scarfs. She grabbed two pairs of ice skates from the closet and smirked as she walked over to him.

"Come on!" she said as she walked out.

Dio chuckled.

"I'm coming, I'm coming!"

He quickly rushed after her. She laughed as she ran towards the lake, Dio running a few yards behind her, trying to catch up.

"Eleanor!" he called. "Wait up for me!" she chuckled and she slowed down to a stop, allowing him to catch up. "How are you so damn fast?"

"I've been practicing."

"Obviously."

The two walked over to the lake and Eleanor brushed some snow off of a nearby stone. She took off her boots and put on a pair of ice skates, causing Dio to raise a brow.

"Shoes with blades on them?" he asked sarcastically, and she raised a brow at him.

"Don't tell me you don't know what an ice skate is, Dio."

"You're right, I do know what that is."

The two chuckled and Dio sat down on the other side of the rock. He put on the other pair of skates and they stood.

"Have you ever ice skated?" Eleanor asked and Dio shook his head.

"No."

"It's alright, I can teach you."

She stood and helped him stand. He wobbled a bit and gripped her arms.

"I don't like this," Dio stated and Eleanor laughed, earning a glare from the blonde.
