They all were quiet for a moment, Avdol standing in front of the Crusaders knowing this was his fight alone.
"Your sword is terrifyingly fast," Avdol finally spoke. "It's amazing, but do you really think you'll defeat me by the time the flames on the table stroke twelve? Aren't you being rather conceited, Mister...?"
"Polnareff," the silver-haired Frenchman replied. "Allow me to introduce myself. Jean Pierre Polnareff."
"Merci beaucoup." Eleanor snickered at Avdol's seemingly mocking tone. "I appreciate your introduction. But..." With a wave of his finger, the flames that were a clock on the table erupted consumed the table entirely, the rest of the Crusaders amazed. "Monsieur Polnareff, don't assume that my flames always burn upward or downward as they would in nature. It is called Magicians Red because it controls flames freely."
Polnareffs Silver Chariot stabbed its sword into the ground, chuckling.
"In the beginning, this world was engulfed in flames. I expect nothing less from Magicians Red, who control the flames that suggest the beginning of all things. But, you say I'm being conceited? You're saying that my swordsmanship is mere conceit?!"
Polnareff threw five coins in the air, embers and small flames falling around them. In the mere second where the coins lined up with flame, Polnareffs Silver Chariot thrusted his rapier, piercing not just the coins, but the fire as well.
"In the moment they lines up, he pierced five coins in a single strike!" Joseph cried out in amazement.
"I could do it," Eleanor muttered under her breath, earning a small chuckle from Kakyoin and a grunt from Jotaro as they heard her remark.
"No, take a closer look," Jotaro countered, the three looking closer to see the sword had pierced the fire as well.
"That's..." Kakyoin breathed out, not being able to complete his sentence because of his astonishment.
"I-I see..." Avdol breathed out. "There are flames in between each coin."
"Now that I can't do," Eleanor admitted. Polnareff smirked at the reactions he received from the Crusaders.
"It appears you understand what this means," Polnareff spoke. "It is not conceit. My stand has the power to sever even fire! It can slash thin air and create gaps between nothingness and nothingness. Which means your Magicians Red is powerless before my Silver Chariot."
Silver Chariot slashed its sword and disappeared, the coins falling to the ground with a metallic clink. The sound of the door opening had Avdol's eyes widening, quickly turning to see Polnareff at the door as he headed outside.
"When did he..." Avdol asked, almost to himself, but couldn't finish his question as Polnareff looked back at him.
"The card that my Stand has, The Chariot, suggests conquest and victory," Polnareff stated. "I don't mind taking care of you in this cramped little space, but, Avdol, you'd be able to use your flame abilities in a much more open space, no? It would be fitting for my Stand to defeat you under those circumstances. A fitting victory. All of you, outside!"
Eleanor looked to Jotaro and the others, the man dressed in black simply sighing and waking out with a tip of his hat, following Avdol and the others following him. They walked in silence as Polnareff lead them to a fleet of stairs that led to a place which was very open, but was surrounded by very beautiful and colorful stone carvings.
"W-What is this place?" Joseph asked, almost creeped out from the bright place. Polnareff laughed.
"It's Tiger Balm Garden," Kakyoin explained.
