"Come on, Irie..." Dorcas said, as she pulled the covers off her best friend. "Come on, you'll have to leave the bed eventually."
"Eventually." Iris mumbled, turning around and hiding her face on the pillow, causing her voice to come out all muffled. "But not today."
"If you're not going, I'm not either." The brunette decided, sitting down beside Iris on the bed. "Tell me what happened."
"No."
"Iris, come on..." Dorcas whined. "I understood when your... Parents died. When you stopped talking with us for a while, I didn't push you. But it's been more than two months now, love, and you've already restarted talking to us. I just don't know what happened back in your parents' funeral, but you're worrying me."
"Dorky..." Iris whispered turning to face her best friend.
"Talk to me, please."
Iris sighed. She sat up on her bed and reached on the table beside her for her glasses. She put the black frames on and stared at Dorcas. With a sad smile of fake reassurance in her direction, she spoke up:
"If I go..." Iris said and Dorcas' lips already began to form a smile. "Do you promise not to ask me what's wrong?"

"I feel like I shouldn't be in between you, guys." Iris giggled as Dorcas and Camilla walked each by a side of hers, with their arms looped together.
"Don't be silly..." Camilla shook her head. "Doe and I have plenty of alone time every now and then."
"Do you?" Iris raised an eyebrow and turned from a smirking Camilla to a blushing Dorcas. "When?"
"Every week, after potions." Camilla answered.
She was also smirking by now, loving the way her sweet, innocent girlfriend hated talking about private life.
"Where?" Iris pushed and Dorcas groaned.
"Oh, you know that classroom beside..."
"Shut up!" She yelled and both girls laughed.
"Oh, don't worry, darling, we're just joking. Right, Irie?" Camilla said, smiling at her girlfriend and then at her best friend.
"Oh, totally." Iris nodded. "Plus, I already knew about Classroom 45 on the end of Potion's corridor."
Dorcas turned to face Iris with her eyes almost popping out of her face. Iris laughed and even Camilla seemed surprised. They thought they were being discreet. Apparently not that much.
"It's good to see my love live amuses you." Dorcas rolled her eyes as the three girls kept walking without a real destination in mind. "Since just this morning you were so keen of staying in bed all day mopping around and..."
"Oh, there she goes..." Iris mumbled. "You promised not to talk about that, Dorcas!"
"I'm just worried, Irie! That's all!"
"I know, but you need to understand that..."
"Oh, well, well... Look what we have here."
At the sound of the new voice, the girls stopped walking. They recognized the voice. They would anywhere and anytime. But, still, for some reason they felt the need to turn around.
"Avery." Dorcas spat, as she took in the big Slytherin boy in front of her.
He smirked. The same smirk that always came before he started throwing insults at everyone that would listen. And by the way he was glancing at Iris, the girl knew she was the day's target.
