Chapter 35

Shays P.O.V.

I slipped on a crop top sweat pants and uggs. I pulled my hair into a messy bun. I looked at my 8 month old sons. they were trying to walk but had to hold on to things. I walked down stairs and into the kitchen. I put two pieces of bread in the toaster and grabbed the honey. I popped the toast out and spread the honey on it. I felt arms wrap around me. "hey james." I said and took a bite of my toast. "hey shay." He said and kissed the side of my head.

I slipped out of his grasp and grabbed a cup and poured some orange Juice. "what are you doing today?" he asked stealing a bite of my toast. "dropping the boys off at grannies and going to the cemetery then to go shopping,you?"

"Probly just straight out some pack things." he said with a nod.

Ever since chase and josh died our packs combined and nobody has seen ven. the boys will be 1 in a few months and I've become ever so Close with James and chase's parents. James found his mate about a month ago but she was mysteriously shot and killed. so it's just us. he's become my life line and me his. It's been hard on everyone. Today is three months without them.

"Shay." I heard a voice say. I blinked and looked at James.

"I've been saying your name for five minutes." he said worried. "sorry." I mumbled. "I spaced out." he nodded and hugged me. "don't let me lose you to." he whispered. "I think your stuck with me sorry." I said. he laughed and exited the kitchen.

I went back upstairs and grabbed the boys. I loaded them in the car an started down the road. I turned on the radio and sang along with the songs. I smiled and laughed when the boys clapped. I soon pulled into chase's old house. Sandra chase's mom came out and grabbed the boys and said take your time. I pulled out and slipped on my sunglasses. I hummed and tapped my fingers on the steering wheel. I slowly pulled in to the cemetery.

I turned off the car and sat there for a minute. I opened the door and walked to the graves. I bent down at chase's. I laid flowers on his grave and smiled weakly. "hey baby. I still miss you every day more and more. the boys are doing good. I'm getting a little bit stronger each day. your always gonna be mine. even if I find a new guy. I still love you so much nobody can beat how much I love you. I love you so much and I hope to see you one day. but your gonna have to wait a little longer then you think." I stood up and blew a kiss and patted his tomb stone. I walked over to josh's.

"Hey babe. so I bet your throwing a bunch of parties. I miss you. you were my best friend. I hope we can be together soon. I love you s-"

I was cut off by clapping. I snapped my head up and saw ven standing there. i closed my eyes as the memories came flooding back. "I see you still are trying to break my brother's heart even though he's dead."

"Leave me alone you caused this." I said angerily.

"Just leave my brother alone and never come back."

"Sorry he was part of my world can't get rid of me."

"Watch me." she said and her fangs grew and she lunged at me.

I reached into my pocket and grabbed my knife. I stabbed her arm. She cried out in pain. I kicked her off and ran to my car. I started it sped out and to the mall.

I went to belk's and found some jeans shirts and some boots. I went to the food court and got some DQ. I went to American eagle. I looked around some. I saw long sleeve t shirt. I walked up to the register. The cashier was turned around. I cleared my throat and they turned around.

I felt my breath catch in my throat. it was ven. I threw the shirt down and ran out. I walked to my car and went to get the boys. When I got them I drove home. I sat them on the play mat and walked into the kitchen. I put my left overs in the fridge. I heard glass break. I grabbed a steak knife and walked into the living room.

I saw ven standing there. she was standing over the boys. "not my sons to." I yelled and threw the knife she turned around and the knife hit her in the heart. She looked down and pulled the knife out and fell to the ground. James came in and ran over to me. "Are you ok what was that big crash?" I pointed to ven and I didn't feel any remorse. he nodded and picked up her body and called one of his pack memebers they came and got the body.

"Now I can sleep at night with out being scared." I mumbled into James shoulder. He shook his head and held me closer.

"Now we only have each other promise not to leave me?" I said and held out my pinky. he looped his pinky in mine.

"I promise."
