♤ CHAPTER FIVE ♤
Pastime FriendsThe creaking of the bedroom door wakes Yoongi to see a figure standing in the shadows. "Yoongi, you can't sleep in until two in the afternoon just because it's the weekend," Yoongi's mother sighs as she walks into his bedroom. "You have to go to your father's."
"Yah, that's exactly why I'm not getting out of bed," Yoongi sighs as he puts the pillow over his face, blocking out the world.
He feels the mattress sink when his mother sits down next to him. "I'm sorry sweetie but there's nothing I can do," her voice sounded as if she was filled with genuine emotion but Yoongi knows better.
Yoongi removes the pillow and sits up as he looks at his mother with an expressionless face. "No, you just choose to do nothing, mom. And yet you send me to that dick's place," he grumbles. He normally doesn't act out like this but when it comes to the topic of his parent's divorce he acts completely different.
His mother looks at the ground, trying to think how she could help out the situation. "Just because he wanted the divorce doesn't make him a bad person. It just meant that he doesn't love me anymore," she keeps the tone of her voice calm, hoping Yoongi understands.
"Then why did he marry you?!" Yoongi spits out. The moment those words left his lips, he immediately knew that it came out the wrong way.
His mother smile drops slightly but still kept a weak one. "You'll have to ask him about that today," she sighs as she stands up from the bed and heads to the door. "Please make sure you're over there by four," she mutters before closing the door behind her.
Yoongi sighs as he leans back in his bed. "Fuck," he curses as he rubs his eyes. "Why does this have to be my home life?" And that was another question that sadly had no answer.
He turns his body over and faces his backpack that was sitting on his desk chair. It reminded him of the new friend he made in math yesterday.
Park Jimin, the stuttering mystery. But Yoongi wanted to change that about Jimin. He wants to get to know him. But first, he has to get through this weekend at home to start that. All good things come to those who wait right?
After a few moments of pondering, Yoongi slouches out of bed to get dressed. He throws on his usual, a black band tee topped with his black leather jacket and some black skinny jeans. The color black always felt like Yoongi's safe place because the color black is a mystery but at the same time, it's all the colors combined once you get to know it.
He takes a look in the mirror, making sure his maroon hair looks at least half/decent. He looks at the small flap of his leather jacket and flips it over to reveal a pin. The pin was a flag that shone the colors purple, black, and white. He softly smiles as he flips his jacket back over, covering his pin for the same reason he covers his sexual identity which was the fear of being misunderstood.
Once he was completely ready, he heads downstairs to toast himself some blueberry bagels, his guilty pleasure. He always thought about having a sugar glider named Bagel but that feels like that'd be an alternate universe or something.
"Morning Yoongs," Yoongi's little sister, Rosé coos. She sets her small self at the table to eat her bowl of cereal. Even though she was only a year younger than him, he still sees her as a small person he must watch over and protect.
